They had a unique way to become one of us (mind you we are middle school friends in our fifties) getting us all involved and even getting people with two left feet dance away. Attended a 75th birthday part for a doctor friend and Mehekte Sur was the entertainer. We were all on the floor for over 2 hours on their Live singing and did not even feel the need for a DJ. Vinay recently hosted my daughter’s 5th birthday party and we all had a blast. He is a really good dj and anchor. He took great care to get to know us and curated the event as per my preference and played my daughter’s favorite songs. My 5 yr old enjoyed a full 4 hr event and dint get tired all thanks to him. He handled the entire event with ease and the crowd loved him. He had all the kids on the floor , conducted games for us and finally all adults also had a great time on the dance floor. Last fall (Oct 2023) for my parents’ 50th wedding anniversary, we wanted a unique live musician, and Dilshaan Music & Entertainment made the event truly memorable! From their live dhol during a recreation of my father’s baraat to lovely vocals of old Bollywood film songs and ghazals, accompanied by tabla, during dinner time, we were treated to something special. My parents were pleasantly surprised by the familiar selection of songs, which Dilshaan had customized as per our request list (even incorporating our native Sindhi folk culture). Last fall (Oct 2023) for my parents’ 50th wedding anniversary, we wanted a unique live musician, and Dilshaan Music & Entertainment made the event truly memorable! From their live dhol during a recreation of my father’s baraat to lovely vocals of old Bollywood film songs and ghazals, accompanied by tabla, during dinner time, we were treated to something special. My parents were pleasantly surprised by the familiar selection of songs, which Dilshaan had customized as per our request list (even incorporating our native Sindhi folk culture). After dinner, though we were a relatively small group of 60, the singing and dhol up close at the dance floor was amazing…even got a few people to dance who hardly ever do! A week before the event, we discussed in detail the event flow and finalized AV needs, so that traveling in from Raleigh NC to our gathering in Roanoke VA, the setup worked well. I would highly recommend Dilshaan as a talented professional for special occasions.

Vinay recently hosted my daughter’s 5th birthday party and we all had a blast. He is a really good dj and anchor. He took great care to get to know us and curated the event as per my preference and played my daughter’s favorite songs. My 5 yr old enjoyed a full 4 hr event and dint get tired all thanks to him. He handled the entire event with ease and the crowd loved him. He had all the kids on the floor , conducted games for us and finally all adults also had a great time on the dance floor. It’s tricky to handle a kids party and entertain kids and adults alike. Can’t recommend him enough

Friends giving and a mehfil that will be truly remembered due the efforts of Vinay and Aparna from Mehete Sur. We had Avinash ji perform at the 50th Anniversary Celebration of my parents on the 4th of July. I have to say it was the most memorable experience. Avinash ji has the most beautiful voice in fact it’s very hard to tell if he’s actually singing or just lip syncing to one of Jagjit Singh’s songs. My dad felt he not only sounds but also looks like Jagjit Singh :) He engaged the crowd and was open to requests by our guests. He even sang a Punjabi song which is not his comfort zone and absolutely nailed it. I highly recommend him and wish him the very best. So glad to have found a truly talented artist.

Friends giving and a mehfil that will be truly remembered due the efforts of Vinay and Aparna from Mehete Sur. They had a unique way to become one of us (mind you we are middle school friends in our fifties) getting us all involved and even getting people with two left feet dance away. They both have great voices and more so the warmth and love they sing with. The range of songs from 1950 to 2022 they covered favourites and they truly became the jaan of our get together. They have such a broad range in their voices that they can sing songs from several decades. My favorites are the songs from 60s and 70s.

I hired Mehekte Sur for my engagement party as my parents are big fans of the Golden Era songs and wanted a segment for the same at my engagement party for their friends. Vinay and Aparna worked with us to not only cover that segment but also spent time with us to plan the songs for the couple dance at the start of the event. They really surprised us with their versatility in singing by creating a customized medley of fast songs that really set the mood before the DJ music kicked in. They are a great team and I would highly recommend them!

We watched the Mehekte Sur Jodi in action on Valentine’s Day and they were amazing. The sheer variety of songs (Hindi, Marathi, Gujarati) was outstanding and they really do justice to romantic songs. What a couple. Had a great time and will certainly attend more of their events.

Mehekte Sur performed for our pre-wedding sangeet party. They organized everything right from food, DJ and dance to music- antakshari for the guests! They planned ahead of time, collected pictures and memories from our friends and created a surprise video for us. They also put together interesting games for our guests and made the event engaging and memorable!
