Dilshaan and crew performed at a NYE dawat of mine and everyone was beyond impressed! From arriving early, they quickly set up on the living room floor and played 1.5+ hr set of well known ghazals, some modern songs and crowd requests. They even let 2 of the guests sing with them! Last fall (Oct 2023) for my parents’ 50th wedding anniversary, we wanted a unique live musician, and Dilshaan Music & Entertainment made the event truly memorable! From their live dhol during a recreation of my father’s baraat to lovely vocals of old Bollywood film songs and ghazals, accompanied by tabla, during dinner time, we were treated to something special. My parents were pleasantly surprised by the familiar selection of songs, which Dilshaan had customized as per our request list (even incorporating our native Sindhi folk culture). After dinner, though we were a relatively small group of 60, the singing and dhol up close at the dance floor was amazing…even got a few people to dance who hardly ever do! A week before the event, we discussed in detail the event flow and finalized AV needs, so that traveling in from Raleigh NC to our gathering in Roanoke VA, the setup worked well. I would highly recommend Dilshaan as a talented professional for special occasions.

I cannot recommend Sankumani enough. He and his talented bandmates played our wedding. He struck the perfect balance between soulful and calming music and energetic and danceable jams. He was thoughtful enough to bring his wife to act as MC and explain each song to our audience (many of whom were goras, myself included). The context was appreciated by all guests. In the time leading up to the event itself, he was diligent about checking in, communicating his needs for a good performance, AND he was very flexible in putting together the set list, even going so far as to take requests that were a bit outside his usual fare. My family and friends celebrated an amazing ghazals night with Sankumani Sarama and Mir Naqibul Islam of Brooklyn on Tabla at our home in Alamo, CA. Looking for ghazals singers in Northern California, I came upon Mr Sarama ji's website. Booking with him was easy, his input on how to set up the stage and ambiance was highly appreciated. Sarama ji was very flexible with songs and time slots, which made our evening enjoyable. I think he’s the best we will get in the U.S., especially when it comes to ghazal. It’s not just the singing, but his professionalism when interacting with invited guests, he has a keen sense to balancing acoustics inside a home. Will not hesitant to invite him once again or be his reference in the future.

I was looking for a ghazal singer for my daughters reception.I happen to find a gem “Sankumani Sarama” He was definitely a treat to our soul. We were so impressed and mesmerized by his singing. He is the best in town.

Sankumani’s concert is really what he says it is “A treat for your soul!” This was the second year in a row when we had Sankumani over at our place for a concert and boy what a fantastic evening we had. Our guests were blown away by his singing. “Sama Baandhna to koi Sankumani ji se seekhe”. When he starts singing, he leaves everyone spellbound by his mesmerizing voice. We invited Sankumani jee on my wife’s 40th birthday and were absolutely delighted to have him at our place. The party was themed on “Lucknow” and went very well. Here are a few things I would like to cover specially. 1. He really puts an effort to make your program a success He would seek your inputs and plan the program in-depth to really create a great impact 2. He is a purist Both my wife and I are critical music listerners, and Sankumani brings the purity in his performance - his singing, or harmonium or jugalbandi with tabla 3. He knows his gear I was kind of talking him in using my speakers, but Sankumani knows his music gear.. It all worked out very well for us and hopefully we would be doing this again soon
