I just completed my very first panchakarma experience at Purusha Ayurveda and it was an incredible experience. I stumbled upon this place completely by chance and prepared for this retreat with cautious optimism not knowing what to expect. But from the moment I walked through the door the positive energy and tranquility of this space and its staff wrapped around me and welcomed me. This beautiful house nested among the red rocks of southern Utah is a true sanctuary and its serenity really adds to the healing process. I enjoyed going for daily walks and staring at the gorgeous views. Kathy Jo and her staff (Sarah, Tanner and Kallie) are so welcoming , kind, insightful and knowledgeable. They made me feel like a guest in their home and we had many interesting conversations and I learned a lot during my stay. Kathy had daily checkins with me to measure my progress and the PK treatment (including the divine and relaxing body treatments) was customized to my unique needs. The food was one of the best parts, made fresh daily, bursting with color and flavor and prepared with love. I even got breakfast in a Togo box for my early flight on the last day. I always felt nourished and grounded and have been motivated to recreate the recipes at home for my family. The combination of deep rest, relaxing routine (yoga, meditation), complete break from life/work/technology, the physical and mental detox and the time you get to reflect makes this retreat a truly worthwhile experience. The sense of absolute calm I felt while I was at Purusha is something I hadn’t felt in years and my experience here has inspired me to make some lifestyle changes and incorporate the knowledge I have gained into my everyday life. I hope to visit again soon.
I did my first panchakarma in December, and it was life changing. Kathy Jo and her team were incredible. I did not have much information about ayurveda when I got there, and everyone took time to answer my myriad questions and guide me to my best results. The atmosphere at Purusha Ayurveda is like being with the family you always wanted, without any of the parts you don't. They are kind, gentle, supportive, funny, caring, and beautiful from the inside out. Kallie, Sarah, Tanner, and Kathy Jo are the perfect superhero health and wellness team. Kallie's yoga classes each morning were perfection; tailored to what we needed and supportive all the way. Sarah made us the most lovely meals that were delicious and beautiful. Tanner's meditations were so spot-on and filled me with such peace and hope. He and Kallie were the treatment team, and all I can say is wow.... each of my sessions was phenomenal and so effective. The entire experience gave me such a beautiful understanding of the value of my health and well being. I've continued many of the practices, reached out when I had questions, and consider both my mental and physical health to be better than it was before I went to Purusha. I can not recommend it enough, and will go back when I am able. The value of being loved and cared for completely for a week should not be underestimated
Did my first Panchakarma in December and it was amazing. I loved the yoga sequences, the treatments, and Kathy Jo helped me eat for my body. I learned so much and loved getting to know the staff. The accommodations were comfy and private. The food was great, though it got redundant at times. I was surprised there was no follow up or subscription to sign up for. While I would have loved a post-retreat check-in, in some ways it was very refreshing. No one selling you anything, just trying to give you a great experience and improve your health.
This review is quite late but I began to think about my experience at Purusha Ayurveda recently. That's how profound it is, it stays with you 10 months later. Every aspect of it was cleansing and nourishing at both the cellular and soul level. Aside from the remembrance of feeling good in my heart, body and mind, I loved the open energy of the space, nature walks, details in each room- including the intentional thoughtful books, the perfect daily rhythm and easy flow, the private nature of the journey, meals shared with your healers felt sacred to me. I witnessed Dr. Kathy Jo's authentic connection to Ayurveda in every way while there. Do not hesitate
I had the absolute privilege of spending a week at Purusha Ayurveda, and it was one of the most nourishing and transformative experiences of my life. The teachings of Ayurveda truly came alive for me, mentally, physically, and spiritually, thanks to the intentional and heartfelt care of the entire team. Everyone at Purusha Ayurveda approaches their work with deep compassion and presence. I felt incredibly supported throughout my stay, and the healing I experienced was profound. The daily time I spent with Kathy Jo Stahlie was especially impactful, her wisdom and the way she shares Ayurvedic teachings is truly something special. If you are looking for a place to reconnect, restore, and experience Ayurveda in its most authentic and supportive form, I would highly recommend Purusha Ayurveda. I’m leaving with deep gratitude and a renewed sense of clarity and well-being.
