About Health Systems Educational Services

Health Systems was formed in 1994 as a response to the need of developing quality nurse consulting services for geriatric and early childhood environments. Our work started as nurses visiting child care centers to assist in health and safety compliance through audits and seminars. Improvement in infection control measures resulted in reducing disease transmission and less illness in child care settings. Training of Trainers increased the number of consultants and training in pediatric environments. We have partnered with Illinois Network of Child Care Resource and Referral Agencies (INCCRRA) to provide early childhood workshops relevant to Quality Rating System (QRS) and ExceleRate. Ensuring coordination in education content to DCFS standards and current early childhood national guidelines helps all participants to correlate knowledge into the classroom setting. We continue to increase our partnerships with state and national agencies as trainers, mentors and coaches in the early childhood field. Dr. Holland has over 30 years’ experience as an educational instructor in the health care field, and early care & education environments.
