At Illumination Arts, a philosophy of teamwork and collaboration is the hallmark of our architectural lighting design practice. Working with architects, bridge engineers, owners, landscape architects, developers, interior designers and others, IA designs innovative lighting solutions for all types of corporate, governmental and institutional projects. The principals and staff of Illumination Arts have over fifty-five years of combined experience creating award-winning lighting designs for projects of all types and sizes. Since its founding, IA has designed a multitude of projects including signature bridges, academic buildings, corporate interiors, fitness centers, police stations, ecclesiastical venues, office towers, museum exhibits and transportation projects. Everyone at Illumination Arts understands that the design process is a collaborative one, and that a project is most successful with the input of all members of the team. Our best designs are created when we work closely with clients, owners and stakeholders to develop the most responsive and appropriate lighting designs for our projects. The team at Illumination Arts has experience in every aspect of the lighting design process, for all types of projects. With backgrounds in theater, architecture, engineering and business, we bring a perspective that complements that of our clients. Illumination Arts was founded in early 2004 by Faith Baum and Ken Douglas. Since then, the firm has designed hundreds of projects, including signature bridges and other transportation projects, schools, commercial office buildings, synagogues, museum exhibits and hotels.
