About Lavanya Rajesh Music Classes

Lavanya started her musical journey by learning Hindustani Semi classical and Kathak at the renowned Sangeet Samiti School of music and dance in Allahabad and further enhanced her singing and dancing skills under the tutelage of Sri Shivram Kathak Ji. She has done Bollywood singing course from Shankar Mahadevan Music Academy and considers Shankar Mahadevan and Asha Bhonsle as her idols. I learn by studying and copying their styles and try to infuse a little bit of my own style into a project. She continued to become the youngest ever person to be crowned Miss Chennai and became an integral part of the film industry and she performed at many functions like Film are awards, Citadel extravaganza, Sahara Mrs. India. In 2006, she went on to win the title at Mrs. India World competition. She has collaborated in music with many singers all over the world personally and professionally and has performed on stage for many Indo-Canadian events like Nasseb show, AWIC, Mayor's Diwali gala, Ibaddat, Mkm seniors association, Ragamala, Syria Church fund raiser etc. in Toronto and in Edmonton. She is a popular radio artiste and her songs have been featured time and again by different radio stations in Canada, USA and India and heard by avid listeners all over the world. She brings to SUR, not only extensive musical knowledge in singing, composing and song writing but also unpatrolled experience on stage presence and showmanship.
