Shailaja Narayan Carnatic Vocal Music, I started learning Carnatic vocal at the age of 5. My Guru Smt. Akhila Krishnan is a well-known Carnatic musician based in Delhi. She is an A grade artist in All India Radio. I trained under her for 15 years. As a student, I was a scholarship holder of Sahitya Kala Parishad. I won many prizes at both state and national level. I was a B grade artist with All india radio. Even though now I am a chemical engineer, I still love to keep my passion for music alive.The best way for that is through teaching others. I had trained students in India and would love to start classes in Edmonton too. All individuals are welcome irrespective of age.
