Ma Yogashakti International Mission is a non-profit spiritual organization founded by H.H. Ma Yogashakti Saraswati, affectionately known as Mataji. The mission is dedicated to spreading the teachings of yoga, meditation, and universal spiritual values. With ashrams in New York and Florida, the organization serves as a center for self-development, peace, and inner transformation through yogic practices.
Mataji, born in 1927 in Benares, India, was a highly educated and spiritually evolved teacher who held a Master’s degree in Political Science. After serving as the founding principal of a women’s college, she renounced worldly life in 1961 to follow the path of spiritual enlightenment. Her vision led to the establishment of the mission in 1979, with a focus on helping individuals realize their inner divinity through self-discipline, service, and devotion.
The mission offers yoga and meditation classes, wellness workshops, and religious services. It also celebrates Indian festivals, organizes spiritual retreats, and promotes cultural harmony. The Florida Ashram, spread over 20 acres of peaceful natural surroundings, and the New York center both provide ideal environments for seekers to learn and grow.
Guided by Mataji’s teachings, the mission continues to uplift lives through the timeless wisdom of yoga and spiritual knowledge.
