About N Parveen Sharma Optimetrist

Dr. Sharma completed her Graduate medical Training at Maulana Azad Medical College, University of Delhi, India, and MS in Ophthalmology from the University of Pune, India. She finished Post Graduate Studies in Ophthalmology in London, the UK with special emphasis on Glaucoma and Retinal Diseases. She has wide experience in the practice of Ophthalmology in different countries ranging from Iraq, Sierra Leone ( West Africa ), Nigeria, England, Libya and finally settled down in the United States of America. Her first assignment in the USA was with the US Army Medical Corps as Captain and Later Major on Active Duty. She was posted at Fort Ord, California and the time she spent in The Armed Services gave her the most memorable years of her career. After completing her assignment with the US Army she was employed as Assistant Professor in the Department of Ophthalmology at Stanford University, California. She started her practice as a Solo Ophthalmology in Monterey. Later moved to Hollister, Gilroy and Los Banos.
