We are butchers, bakers and candy makers. We are fishmongers, greengrocers and restaurateurs. We grow, catch, find, make, produce, distribute, cook, create and invent our wares. We are Central Ohio’s authentic public market. Since 1876 our merchants and farmers have loyally served the community and its visitors. We provide an authentic Columbus Ohio experience that highlights the diversity and vibrancy of our community, both economically and culturally by promoting “best in class” local independent businesses. North Market is home to dozens of unique, independent merchants and farmers who deliver personal and personable service every day of the week.
Rated 5.0 The market itself is awesome. The prices can be on the steep side, but a few exceptions and favorites: Omega baking (rustic french baguette...to some may taste burnt, to me it's strong-flavored roastiness like a porter). Get the "odds-n-ends" random dough bake pieces, 2 for $1.50. And try the vietnamese Chicken Pho (noodle soup) at $8 isn't too bad.
Rated 5.0 One of my favorite places in downtown Columbus. I recommend it to anyone I know coming into town. A fun place to go and have a bite to eat or even just look around, there are some interesting things for sale. Many fun events to attend in the future at this location.
Rated 5.0 If you're looking for food or coffee or dessert or anything fantastic, go here. It's worth the food and drinks but if you just want to walk around and check a place out, go go go.
Rated 4.0 Our place to go every time we visit the city! Bubbles tea and the Moroccan restaurant! The honey mustard chicken is the best! There is such a large selection here from fish, artisan baked goods, teas, salsas, ice-cream, and etc. Always very busy and crowded. Never park inside their parking lot, we were told $3 to park were there for 20min and had to pay $13. Better off to walk!
Rated 5.0 Wonderful collection of smaller-scale vendors in a historic building near downtown Columbus. Something for everyone, and , although you can spend a lot of money, you can also do some inexpensive exploration. Great coffee at Stauf's, yummy Polish food, spice shop, cool stationery store, fresh-baked pretzels as big as your head! On weekends, there will be local farmer who sell their produce in stalls outside the market. This is a gem!
