About Oviya Thanjavur School Of Art

Oviya is an Indian art school offering courses in the Thanjavur style of art ( Tanjore Painting ) in Fremont, California. Oviya is devoted to the mission of primarily popularizing tanjore paintings, and, thereby, engendering a cultural renaissance through the rejuvenation of this art which is a part of India’s rich cultural heritage and knowledge. Oviya School offers 3 levels of classes to master this unique and traditional art form. We accept students 16 years of age and above (except for glass paintings where students 12 years of age and above are accepted). All classes are held at our Fremont, CA location. All materials will be provided for all classes. Framing can also be done for an additional fee.
