Shiva Vishnu Temple of San Diego was established in the year 2000 to serve the devotional cultural and spiritual needs of the San Diego community in accordance with distinctly Vedic traditions. Temple holds these values as its guiding star. Pandit Muralidharan Sampath is a Vaishnavaite priest from Tamil Nadu. He has learnt Agama Sasthra and Pancharatra Agama. He is qualified to perform Brahmotsavam, Pavithrosthavam, Kalyana Urchavam, Ganapathi Homam, Sudarshana Homam, Vishnu Homam, Navagraha Homam, Mruthyunjaya Havan, Rudra Homam, Gruhapravesam, Vasthu Homam, Namakaranam, Annaprasanam, Aksharabhyasam, Upanayanam, Pitrumedam (Shraddam) and all other special events. Sri Viswanathan Sivacharya comes to San Diego from India where he spent the last five years. Most recently, he was at the Ayyappan Temple in Chennai (R.A. Puram), TN and Sri Sampath Vinayaka Temple in Visakapatnam, AP.
