It is a sacred site whose ambience and design attempts to symbolically condense the ideal tenets of Hindu way of life and celebrate the four important and necessary principles of human life - the pursuit of Artha , the pursuit of Kama, the pursuit of Dharma and the pursuit of Moksha. A Hindu Temple is a place for worship and prayer where the inner soul evolves into a fruit, a flower, a fragrance, a hope, a liberation, a light. Om Hindu Org of NC and Sri Mata Shaktipeetham with the generous support from the triad community are working towards building a traditional Hindu temple in greater Winston Salem area. Building a temple is a process of building the community itself, a tribute to our parents & our upbringing and a gift to our next generation. With a temple in the town allows us to have the celebrations, festivals, and daily rituals, special events throughout the year - where everyone can come with their family and friends and have peaceful, friendly gatherings.
