The roots of Shree Devi Mandir as a temple began 13 years ago, when a fateful soul decided to revive the energy of his simple residence, that he had built with his own two hands decades earlier. He (Lall Singh) built a simple wooden altar right here in this very structure, and began placing his mufti’s on its tiers. Rather than continuing to pray alone as he had done for most of his life, he extended invitations to everyone in arms length to join him humbly.Day by day, as the Hindu community of Port St. Lucie continued to grow, more people began to congregate and offer their hands and skills, leading to the beautiful representations that you see outside and this wonderful abode for our gracious gods. The expansion of the Treasure Coast Hindu Community has led to two other temples in the treasure coast area, but this location is and will always be a focal point where we can all appreciate the presence of the Lord as he guides us throughout our life. Now as an organization, we (Shree Devi Mandir) must continue to kindle the knowledge of Santan Dharma to every generation that will listen and fashion a peaceful congregation based upon its principles.
