I had undergone training in Carnatic Vocal Music in Kerala under Sri.Chandramana Narayanan Namboothiri for over 18 years.To name a few of my achievements, I won "Sangeetha Yuvaratna Award 2003" presented by Shadkala Sangeetha Sabha, Kerala. Also, I participated in the South Asian University Competition held at Nagpur and won gold medal. I have conducted numerous musical concerts in India and also have been performing in the bay area.Carnatic music is a classical music form of southern India and one of the world's oldest and richest musical traditions. It is a very complicated system of music. To master this, talent, dedication and rigorous training is essential. My class provides a very peaceful atmosphere and each student is given individual attention, adequate training and proper guidance at all the stages helping them to nurture their talents .The students will be taught the basics of the Carnatic vocal technique, improving the range and tone of the voice and handling the stylistic ornamentation which is typical of the South Indian style. Later, Geethas (small songs) and Krithis (Performance pieces) will be taught. Classes are provided on weekdays evenings and Saturdays.
