After the successful establishment of Sree Ayyappa Samajam in Scarborough, Ontario, we the Western Canadians and devotees of Sree Ayyappa are working hard with Lords' spirit to have the second Sree Ayyapa Temple of Canada in Edmonton, the cultural capital of Canada. We are hoping that current pooja will gradually be conducted in a temple dedicated to Sree Ayyappa. With more than ten temples devoted to Sree Ayyappa well spread around in the USA, there is a hope that the second Aayyappa temple will be suitably positioned for Western Canada in Edmonton. For the last several years regular Ayyappa bhajans and mandala pooja has been celebrated in Edmonton in temporary buildings and auditoriums. With full co-operations and blessings of all Ayyappa devotees of Western Canada ,we can establish an abode for Sree Ayyappa in Edmonton . With the initiation by South Indian devotees in cooperation with Sree Ayyappa devotees from rest of India, Sri Lanka, Malaysia, and Singapore will lead to the establishing of a beautiful Temple and Cultural Centre. The proposed Temple devoted to Sree Ayyappa is a dream come true with the full co -operation and support from all devotees of Sree Ayyappa . Working plan has y been in progress for the last couple of years towards the establishing of the Sree Ayyappa Temple in Edmonton. All interested are invited to contact any of our temple committee members for more details and to get to discussion with your ideas in the active planning. You may as well discuss about how to co operate for further development of this concept of SAT Edmonton. As per the plan the first stage is building of Hindu Cultural Centre to discus and disperse the philosophy of Hinduism, Sanskrit and Vedas as well as emphasis on the life and history of Sree Ayyappa. We will proceed to access a suitably located land as per the advice from priests of the Ayyappa Temple in Sabarimala before establishing a permanent prathishta for Sree Ayyappa.
