Taaj Palace is the culmination of nearly 25 years of preparing and serving the great cuisines of India. Specializing in Punjabi dishes such as Chicken Tikka Masala and Tandoori Chicken. We offer an extensive menu including many delicious Vegetarian Entrees. Taaj Palace also makes other dishes available popular throughout India, such as Naan, Samosas, and Pakoras. One of the main features of Punjabi cuisine is its highly diverse range of dishes. Taaj Palace is proud to offer gourmet versions of familiar foods, as well as outstanding dishes which are rarely available at typical Indian restaurants. Our commitment is to our Customers' complete satisfaction. Our Chef is well-qualified to prepare almost any “special” dish upon request. All Taaj Palace foods are cooked fresh, as the order is received, and our attention to the quality of the ingredients is always foremost. Our extensive Buffet changes daily, offering both familiar and specialty items. Taaj Palace facilities are available for special occasions, and we can provide expert catering for group or family gatherings.
Rated 5.0 Went in for an early dinner and much to my surprise they still offered the buffet. Much to my disappointment it looked like it had been sitting there since lunch, but was still hot so we decided to partake. I am well aware that Indian food is generally spicy, but have been able to find things for my 5 year old to eat on other buffet lines of the same nature. Unfortunately everything had spice and my daughter was unable to enjoy anything on the buffet. The butter chicken which I generally enjoy was over spicy for my taste. To conclude our dinner I decided to enjoy some mango custard. The milk was starting to turn as it tasted sour. I opted for the rice pudding but it was clearly contaminated with red sauce from another portion of the buffet. I mentioned the mango custard starting to go bad to our server, he informed another server whom I witnessed take a spoon dip it directly into the large vat of custard to take a taste for himself. Apparently he did not think it was going bad and they left it for other patrons to partake of. Then the bill came, $65 for 4 people. When I considered we each only ate 1 plate(or less) it hardly seemed worth the money and therefore we will not be returning. I wish I could find a place that is comparable to India House in Santa Fe here in Albuquerque.
Rated 5.0 AMAZING!!!! The food is full of flavor and begging you to get seconds. The staff are very friendly and ready to help you with quickly clearing away plates, refilling your water or, mmmmm refill your cup with Chai! You owe it to your taste buds to frequent this restaurant.
Rated 5.0 Wow! I had the best Indian food of my life when I was in New Zealand and I couldn't find the same dish here in New Mexico by the same name. So I walked into Taaj Palace and showed them what I had and was instantly accommodated and informed what they call it, which is korma, and it was made for me right then. And it is so delicious! I am in heaven! Thank you!
