A former disciple of Smt. Mani Majumdar, Preeti begun learning Indian Classical vocal in Chicago. She went on to receive advanced training from Sanjukta Biswas and Sabina Mumtaz Islam of the prestigious Sangeet Research Academy (SRA) in Kolkata, India. She is comfortable teaching both classical and non-classical (Bollywood) vocal.
