About The Fremont Art Association

The Fremont Art Association was established by a small group of local artists in 1959 and was organized into a non-profit association in 1987. This organization founded the Festival of the Arts at the Fremont Hub in 1961, and successfully ran this art show until 1983 when the City of Fremont took over because the festival had grown so large. The success of the festival in those early days gave the artists in this organization the desire to be more active in the community and to want to continue to promote the arts to the general public. Come practice your skills with us on the second Thursday evening of every month in a non-instructional, no pressure, and drop in style life drawing session. 7 to 9 p.m.; all mediums welcome. Open to the public and all skill levels. Must bring your own tools and equipment. Cost is $15 to $20 to cover models fees depends on the number of attendees.
