Rated 5.0 I am so happy. I just bought a wonderful fresh Halal Turkey at the India Supermarket. I also bought one last year! Thanks to the India Supermarket's Butcher this will be a spectacular Thanksgiving!

Rated 1.0 I have frequented this store for many years. Good prices, generally unfriendly service. Today I tried their basement pre-cooked Indian food, I paid $8.99+tax for a vege combo. I got egg-plant and daal. After coming out of the microwave (fresh it is not) I noticed the daal was all liquid, there was maybe 1/16 oz (I'm not exaggerating here) of cooked lentils in a curry soup. I made this clear to the server then went to my seat, expecting her to make some recompense of her own accord. No. After finishing my tasty but inadequate meal, I talked to another person behind the counter and related the tale, giving him the option of recompensing me to the tune of a samosa or a pakora so I wouldn't go away an unhappy customer. His response: "that's a regular daal portion". So for the sake of a couple of cents of lentils on a NINE DOLLAR meal he's fine with me going away an unhappy customer. So be it. Not only will I not eat here ever again, I'll use Patel's up the road for all my shopping in the future. Waltham India Market can go to hell.

Rated 5.0 Waltham is undoubtedly the most diverse neighborhood of Boston. If you're from the subcontinent and are craving the sights of brands that remind you of your childhood days spent in mom's kitchen or names that make you salivate, India Market is your place! For all your Bangladeshi/Indian/Pakistani gastronomical needs, come to India market. Pro tip: their basement level has Indian, Ugandan, and Nigerian food (buffet style). Piping hot!

Rated 4.0 Good selection of produce - love the different varieties they stock up on. Nice place to load on your spices too.
