Dr. India D. Gibson, a native of Winnfield, Louisiana, developed a passion for helping others early on. Her commitment to service was demonstrated by her participation in school and church community outreach programs. The importance of discipline and education were greatly instilled in her by her parents and grandparents. With a desire to make a positive impact throughout her community, Dr. Gibson found her inspiration to pursue a career in Dentistry while volunteering at a community dental health center. Dr. Gibson earned her undergraduate degree in Biology from Grambling State University, where she actively participated in various student organizations and became a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Incorporated. Dr. Gibson went on to pursue her dream of becoming a Dentist at Meharry Medical College in Nashville, TN. She received her Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree in 2008.
