Deep Energy Orchestra is a group of Indian, Prog Rock, and Classical musicians featuring Jason Everett, Trey Gunn (King Crimson), & V.Selvaganesh (Shakti). Playing With Fire, the first live recording by super-group Deep Energy Orchestra features prog-phenom Trey Gunn (King Crimson) and Indian percussion master, Selvaganesh (Shakti, Masters of Percussion). Performing the compelling and eclectic compositions of world-jazz bassist, Jason Everett aka Mister E, the group of Indian, Prog Rock, and Classical musicians creates an exotic soundscape that takes the listener on a journey through musical worlds seldom experienced. Jason’s unique ability to create grooves in odd-meters is deceptive in that music feels very natural despite being very complex and has a wide-array of styles, from Funk to Flamenco that fit together seamlessly.
