This duo was hosting a party I attended and they were great entertainers making sure all of us danced and enjoyed the evening to the fullest!

We hired Aparna and Vinay for my hubby’s 40th B’day celebration. They truly made it a memorable event for us. Their selection of songs was perfect for the occasion and our age group. Vinay’s Emcee skills are too good- he engaged all our guests and kept all of us entertained. We would highly recommend Mehekte Sur for any of your celebrations!

Mehekte Sur is amazing! They are full of energy and we loved them. Great planning, attention to detail, and crowd engagement. Vinay had the right mix of retro, Bhangra and latest hits during the DJ segment. He is also very comedic so having him at your next event will be entertaining. Aparna and Vinay, both singers of this group are fantastic. We had their musical program in last weekend. About 175 people attended it and everybody loved their singing. Their selection of songs was very nice too. Even though all our members are seniors, they became young and were dancing with full energy with the songs and the music. Friends giving and a mehfil that will be truly remembered due the efforts of Vinay and Aparna from Mehete Sur. They had a unique way to become one of us (mind you we are middle school friends in our fifties) getting us all involved and even getting people with two left feet dance away. They both have great voices and more so the warmth and love they sing with. The range of songs from 1950 to 2022 they covered favourites and they truly became the jaan of our get together. Aparna and Vinay performed at our daughter's Roka ceremony. One of the unique things was, since our son-in-law to be is Malyalli, we requested a malyalli song, and the two did an outstanding job! Vinay recently hosted my daughter’s 5th birthday party and we all had a blast. He is a really good dj and anchor. He took great care to get to know us and curated the event as per my preference and played my daughter’s favorite songs. My 5 yr old enjoyed a full 4 hr event and dint get tired all thanks to him. He handled the entire event with ease and the crowd loved him. He had all the kids on the floor , conducted games for us and finally all adults also had a great time on the dance floor. It’s tricky to handle a kids party and entertain kids and adults alike. Can’t recommend him enough. ??

Mehekte Sur Jodi was more than just singing. They coordinated a very personalized theme and engaged the crowd. Babyshowers are usually games and all but this added a little variety to the event

The price is very reasonable compared to all other Dj’s and Emcee’s services out there. Vinay was great hosting our event did great job entertaining the crowd. The song selections were also great. I would love to have them at another event. It was the best decision we made to book them for our event.

Had them for my parents surprise 25th anniversary as DJ/MC and live singing and they were amazing. The crowd was engaged for the entire duration of the party ranging from teens to grandparents. Great selection of songs, great energy throughout the party and Vinay was really interacting with everyone in the party and making sure everyone is involved in the party. Attended a 75th birthday part for a doctor friend and Mehekte Sur was the entertainer. We were all on the floor for over 2 hours on their Live singing and did not even feel the need for a DJ. They were amazing. Kept the party moving when there was a slow part. Their choice of music was perfect. I didn't give a playlist because I wasn't very familiar with Punjabi music. But their selection was absolutely fantastic. They set me up with Bhangra dancers and a DHOL player. Coordinated with all of them for timing and music selection. It was absolutely fantastic. Met this husband and wife duo at a friends 50th Birthday party. Wife being a Doctor and Husband being a Senior Director, on weekends, you can see them following their passion. And this is precisely what makes them different from others. I was quite impressed the way they handled and managed the entire event. What I specifically liked was, unlike other DJs where they play the songs, Vinay and Aparna sang those songs... and that too non-stop, without looking at the lyrics. Friends giving and a mehfil that will be truly remembered due the efforts of Vinay and Aparna from Mehete Sur. They had a unique way to become one of us (mind you we are middle school friends in our fifties) getting us all involved and even getting people with two left feet dance away. They understood the vibe I wanted and performed songs that resonated with everyone—Punjabi, Mehndi/Wedding classics, Bhangra, etc. Both Indian and non-Indian guests enjoyed themselves and danced. Attended a 75th birthday part for a doctor friend and Mehekte Sur was the entertainer. We were all on the floor for over 2 hours on their Live singing and did not even feel the need for a DJ. The best thing was that they were on the flooor dancing with us. I have never seen anything like this before.

I was so thrilled to have found DJ Kash to help make our Sangeet a memorable experience for everyone! I found him through instagram, as one of the premier South Asian DJ's in the triangle area, and after listening to his sets, I knew he would be the perfect fit for our event. We reached out, and within a few weeks, we had a signed contract, he had added at my request, a Dholi and I felt that he would deliver even though we'd booked him over a year in advance. Kashif is professional, fun, and can read a crowd and vibe incredibly well. He blended western music with Bollywood hits and for our Sangeet he played a live, mixed set which was DOPE. Everyone loved the music and would not get off the dance floor. Additionally, he was incredibly flexible- I had literally no direction for him (mostly because I trusted him) and he was able to accommodate last minute requests without complaints. And thank you Kashif, for encouraging me to keep the Dholi, because between the two of you, the event was more memorable than I could have imagined. Kashif made the space beautiful with his uplighting, which was a welcome addition to his standard cost, and set up and tore down with no issue in a very busy downtown Raleigh venue. I would 100% use him again if I ever needed to. The music was phenomenal, bangers all night- and the talent was immense and clear. Thank you so much for making my wedding weekend so memorable!

There were many things we asked for that did not happen at my wedding. My father gave a playlist, and DJ Kash didn't play much of anything from the playlist - just some of the instrumentals. The list did include some dance tracks that he played but not many. He also didn't play the instrumental version of our entrance song and played it really late, we were already halfway into the entrance by the time it started playing. Furthermore, he welcomed everybody before my parents did, which upset them alot. Also, my dad asked not to have silences and to play low level background music at all times which also didn’t happen. He also only played a few of my husbands songs from his playlist. The songs he did choose were often inappropriate for my audience , with expletives. Low by Flo Rida was an example of this. For these reasons my husband and father were actively upset with the music during the reception. In addition, he was very slow to respond and didn't call my father back at all for example. He also charged 50$ per each remix of one piece of music and needed all the points where to mix the songs, so we made the mixes ourselves. I did try to relay this privately but got no response until this review. He did respond and apologize for the items mentioned, therefore I’ll update to 3 stars.

DJ Kashif made our daughter’s graduation ceremony a memorable party. It’s a late post happened last summer but still people talk about it. The music the light and the ambiance DJ K created was amazing. People danced their heart out, music was for every age. I will highly recommend DJ k for your next event.

This crew was incredible! We’d recommend them to absolutely anyone. They had the dance floor going all night and went above and beyond what we could have expected. This team was more than just a vendor for us; by the end of the weekend, they were like family and were a truly unforgettable part of our wedding. We hired them for our two day Indian wedding in Leesburg, VA, including DJ’ing, MC’ing, lighting, and a dholi for both days. We had three meetings with them before the wedding where we talked through our timeline, our specific music selections, and what genres of music we wanted for the dance floor. They were very thorough, and even though a few songs we discussed didn’t get played, they covered pretty much everything we asked for. The booking process was also very straightforward and flexible. They were really responsive and made suggestions based on their experience but were clearly not trying to upsell us when doing so. They also have a ton of experience with White’s Ferry Manor, the venue where we had our ceremony and reception. What really went above and beyond was the presence and energy this crew brought to our wedding, especially DJ Shiv! Shiv was on the phone with us at 2am the night before our wedding after our decorator cancelled on us. He and DJ Sameer helped us find another decorator in the middle of the night, just hours before decoration set up was supposed to begin. ShiVish Ent was a great team to work with for our wedding events! They were responsive and professional throughout the process. We were particular in looking for a DJ that could play a decent mix of Telugu/South Indian songs as well as the usual Bollywood and western songs, and DJ Vish delivered. It rained during the groom's baraat, but the team did their best to accommodate. The MC was really great. The add-ons we had like sparklers, fog machine, and up-lights tied the whole event together.

Had an amazing experience with ShiVish Entertainment recently. DJ Vish and MC Riju provided the entertainment at my cousin's graduation party recently and they did a phenomenal job. MC Riju has a wonderful talent in speaking to the crowd and hyping everyone up throughout the entire event. DJ Vish provided amazing music throughout the event as well. Plain and simple ShiVish Entertainment was amazing at our two-day wedding. Seriously, they knocked it out of the park... Day One – it was our religious ceremony so it was more of a Desi/Pakistani event and it was an absolute blast. DJ Vish lit up the dancefloor with his killer playlist and live mixing. He had us dancing to Bollywood and Punjabi music all night and mixed in some top-40 as well. He knew exactly what would get everyone, from kiddos to aunties and uncles going crazy on the dance floor. Day Two – a modern American wedding vibe with an Afghan flare. DJ Shiv came in just as good as his brother the previous day. He seamlessly started out the night playing some of my family's favorite Afghan songs and then switched gears to Top-40 hits, hip-hop, and house bangers. He rocked it. I need to give a huge shoutout to the heart and soul of the party – Rohit, the incredible emcee. This guy knows how to throw a party! His infectious energy, his ability to connect with the crowd – it was like having a close friend leading the festivities. Trust me, if you want your party to reach legendary status, you've got to have Rohit leading the charge. Bottom line is if you're dreaming of a wedding in which the DJ can come in and play to the vibe of your family and friends, then ShiVish Entertainment is who you want to go with. We mixed Bollywood, Afghan, Punjabi, Hip-Hop, House, and Top-40 and they made it sound amazing. With DJs who are basically musical geniuses and an emcee who's a party starter extraordinaire, they turned our wedding into a rollercoaster of love and laughter I promise you won't regret going with them. Shivish Entertainment provided DJ services, lighting and MC services for our wedding reception on Oct 13th at Milton Ridge. They hadn't (to my knowledge) worked for a wedding at this particularly comparatively small venue and despite some bumps in the road, they were able to master a great setup with high quality sound coverage throughout the room. They also did a great job of reading the room and playing music that they thought the guests on the dancefloor would like, combined with our own personal requests. I've been following them and supporting their business for over 5 years so my expectation was definitely that they would deliver a high quality experience at our wedding reception but they went above and beyond! They even added on extra uplighting to really give the room the right ambiance. MC Riju really drove the energy at the event with his roaring voice and killer dance moves. He carefully followed the highly-detailed script that I just provided on the night before, haha. They're the best of the best and I look forward to working with them again!

Dj ShiVish’s team of Rahull and Bosh and especially host Riju make an absolutely incredible team—from the first point of connection they were responsive, professional and prepared. Our family could upload music interests could easily upload music on their website and they also worked with us for editing certain traditional songs. From throwback jams to current artists- great mix and clean! My family is already looking forward to scheduling another event just so we can have them as DJ and Rohit as MC. He is the one of the best out there to bring a party to life. Their dhol player Arshdip was also crazy good in both the Bahrat and wedding reception, and the team also accommodated coordination of a silent disco setup which I purchased with a different vendor. Shivish entertainment did our Sangeet event in Richmond, VA on Feb 14th , 2024. They did a great job and kept the guests dancing and entertained all evening. DJ Shiva and MC Riju did our October 26th wedding and they were phenomenal! This company invited us to their office early on and met with us to make sure we were comfortable and they were so professional throughout the process. MC Riju brings a great energy to the room and our guests raved about his emcee-ing skills - several of which wanted his contact after the event for their own events. DJ Shiv is very professional and took our music requests into account during his set. Everyone had a great time. The company also brought a light up dance floor (pic below) that we highly recommend if you want a showstopper for your event.
