He walked us through the process and provided a fair cost for his services. He came out promptly to perform a site survey. Whatever I say is not enough for how accomadating and proffessional Kabir is. From the first call, he was super friendly, responsive and willing to help make the event the way we want it. I think we had a pretty complex evening with need for live streaming, some pre recorded speeches and need for projector, but he made it seem all natural and simple. He was in touch with me and my brother regarding multitude of itenary changes during the evening and really just went with the flow. As for the music and lights, amazing. Wow, wow, wow, and one more time for the people in the back: WOW!!! DJ Kabir was everything and more we could have hoped for (and I was a wedding DJ for a spell so the expectations were high). We had a DIY reception-only affair (courthouse wedding last year), so we were looking for the music to not just be a mood setter, but capture bits of ourselves and our families. We wanted a little bit of all the good stuff, so much so it was almost hard to nail down a playlist. What would work, what won’t? Whats too niche or too new or to old gahhh!! This is where Kabir came in. His kind and warm demeanor really made us feel we were in good hands. He was available for any questions and was even kind enough to do a site visit beforehand. And then the day came. Firstly, what a set up! The lighting, the ambience! Secondly, what care! Kabir indulged us with a garba set that was supposed to be 15 miniutes and went 30. And then, MC Ishpreet! What an addition to the party. As Kabir tore up the floor, Ish’s dhol just amped up to the max. And what else to say? We danced and danced and danced. Every song was a banger, every beat felt like the apex. He was wonderful to work with and personalized the playlist to include some of our favorites. He also attended the venue walkthroughs with us to help us plan the layout and also help us think through elements unrelated to audio. We danced for 3 straight hours and so did our guests ?across ages 3 to 80. Ankur, the dholi, brought in amazing energy and was a unique element to our reception. The lighting was great. ?The ?photo ?booth was very well done. The props were fun and there was something for everyone. We got the photos very soon after the event, and they are a great addition to the photos from our photographer.? Having Kabir and Ankur made all the difference to our celebrations. BEST DJ EVER for my Pakistani - Italian fusion wedding!! DJ Kabir is so friendly, cool and easy to work with. He made mixes for us from bollywood and western songs (not easy) for our dances and seamlessly played and blended a variety of songs at our wedding. There was not a dull moment on the dance floor. Attended a 75th birthday part for a doctor friend and Mehekte Sur was the entertainer. We were all on the floor for over 2 hours on their Live singing and did not even feel the need for a DJ. Vinay recently hosted my daughter’s 5th birthday party and we all had a blast. He is a really good dj and anchor. He took great care to get to know us and curated the event as per my preference and played my daughter’s favorite songs. My 5 yr old enjoyed a full 4 hr event and dint get tired all thanks to him. Over this past Memorial Day weekend (May 26, 2024) I gave my mom a surprise birthday party for her 75th. Pre-planned everything a month ahead of time. For some reason I could not find the type of entertainment that I was looking for in the Southern California area. We wanted an entertainment company that would cater to our son's cross cultural marriage. We finalized on Mehekte Sur DJ team after reviewing lots of vendors. Their team was amazing and they made sure that all the non-Indians also felt part of the event and had a blast. The songs, the compering. the DJ mixing was just top class. Very professional, great on communication and prep. Highly recommend them.

Over this past Memorial Day weekend (May 26, 2024) I gave my mom a surprise birthday party for her 75th. Pre-planned everything a month ahead of time. For some reason I could not find the type of entertainment that I was looking for in the Southern California area. I am glad that I did not find it, otherwise I would never have of met Vinay and Aparna. I found Mehekte Sur as I was doing Google Searches. I flew them out from New Jersey and in all honesty, they did not disappoint. It was absolutely 100% the best decision for an entertainment vendor. Throughout the entire process Vinay and Aparna stayed in contact with me through texts and phone calls reassuring me that they will be here. Vinay & Aparna did an amazing job at Emceeing and crowd engagement. Their voices are fantastic with all the songs that they sang. They meshed so well with each other as well as into my family, as if we were related and just had not seen each other in a while. If you are looking for Bollywood/Indian style entertainment, please do not 2nd guess yourself on choosing Mehekte Sur as they will not disappoint. Best decision to hire Mehekte Sur for my small house party. Vinay was an outstanding DJ and Emcee. Really great value for the money spent. Good prep for the song list and the vibe that I wanted. The party was a huge success thanks to his amazing music! Highly recommend them

They were great to work with from the get go and took a lot of inputs to prep for the event. Great choices of songs for their Live singing and also for the DJ segment that Vinay did. Though we have hired them several times, they make sure that each time the contents are fresh and different and the members are fully engaged during the entire evening. Vinay and Aparna are amazing singers. They made our friends’ 15th anniversary truly special with their surreal performances. We were all blown away with their soul touching voices and choice of songs. Listening to Kishore Kumar classics in Vinay’s voice took everyone to the golden age of Bollywood. Aparna brought back memories of Lata Di and Madan Mohan with Abhi Na Jao. I loved how they also incorporated children’s music. They are a complete package. Highly recommended!

Great selection of songs, great energy throughout the party and Vinay was really interacting with everyone in the party and making sure everyone is involved in the party. I was the photographer for an event where vinay was managing. There were 3-4 games where literally everyone from the guests played and kudos to vinay for including in them.

Had them for my parents surprise 25th anniversary as DJ/MC and live singing and they were amazing. The crowd was engaged for the entire duration of the party ranging from teens to grandparents. Vinay was super responsive and pleasant to work with. Aparna and him made the party fun for everyone! They also sang part of first dance for my parents which was really cute. Would 100% recommend them to anyone looking for energetic and kind MCs, live singers, and DJ!

Mehekte Sur did a wonderful event at our friends parents wedding anniversary. The couple was very professional and kept everyone engaged. Everyone had a chance to sing when they started a fun interactive kareoke session. Thanks I will definitely consider them for future events.

It was a great to have them on our Ocassion they were fabulos with what they are doing, we had lots of fun bcoz of them. they keep audience engaging during whole event which keep the ocassion memorable.

The price is very reasonable compared to all other Dj’s and Emcee’s services out there. Vinay was great hosting our event did great job entertaining the crowd. The song selections were also great. I would love to have them at another event. It was the best decision we made to book them for our event.

Mehekte Sur Jodi was more than just singing. They coordinated a very personalized theme and engaged the crowd. Babyshowers are usually games and all but this added a little variety to the event
