Attended a friend’s birthday party organized by this dynamic husband and wife duo. Full on entertainment!! They kept the party live with music and games. Even nondancers like me could not stop themselves

This duo was hosting a party I attended and they were great entertainers making sure all of us danced and enjoyed the evening to the fullest!

We hired Aparna and Vinay for my hubby’s 40th B’day celebration. They truly made it a memorable event for us. Their selection of songs was perfect for the occasion and our age group. Vinay’s Emcee skills are too good- he engaged all our guests and kept all of us entertained. We would highly recommend Mehekte Sur for any of your celebrations!

Mehekte Sur is amazing! They are full of energy and we loved them. Great planning, attention to detail, and crowd engagement. Vinay had the right mix of retro, Bhangra and latest hits during the DJ segment. He is also very comedic so having him at your next event will be entertaining. Aparna and Vinay, both singers of this group are fantastic. We had their musical program in last weekend. About 175 people attended it and everybody loved their singing. Their selection of songs was very nice too. Even though all our members are seniors, they became young and were dancing with full energy with the songs and the music. Friends giving and a mehfil that will be truly remembered due the efforts of Vinay and Aparna from Mehete Sur. They had a unique way to become one of us (mind you we are middle school friends in our fifties) getting us all involved and even getting people with two left feet dance away. They both have great voices and more so the warmth and love they sing with. The range of songs from 1950 to 2022 they covered favourites and they truly became the jaan of our get together. Aparna and Vinay performed at our daughter's Roka ceremony. One of the unique things was, since our son-in-law to be is Malyalli, we requested a malyalli song, and the two did an outstanding job! Vinay recently hosted my daughter’s 5th birthday party and we all had a blast. He is a really good dj and anchor. He took great care to get to know us and curated the event as per my preference and played my daughter’s favorite songs. My 5 yr old enjoyed a full 4 hr event and dint get tired all thanks to him. He handled the entire event with ease and the crowd loved him. He had all the kids on the floor , conducted games for us and finally all adults also had a great time on the dance floor. It’s tricky to handle a kids party and entertain kids and adults alike. Can’t recommend him enough. ??

Mehekte Sur Jodi was more than just singing. They coordinated a very personalized theme and engaged the crowd. Babyshowers are usually games and all but this added a little variety to the event

The price is very reasonable compared to all other Dj’s and Emcee’s services out there. Vinay was great hosting our event did great job entertaining the crowd. The song selections were also great. I would love to have them at another event. It was the best decision we made to book them for our event.

Had them for my parents surprise 25th anniversary as DJ/MC and live singing and they were amazing. The crowd was engaged for the entire duration of the party ranging from teens to grandparents. Great selection of songs, great energy throughout the party and Vinay was really interacting with everyone in the party and making sure everyone is involved in the party. I was the photographer for an event where vinay was managing. There were 3-4 games where literally everyone from the guests played and kudos to vinay for including in them.

Attended a 75th birthday part for a doctor friend and Mehekte Sur was the entertainer. We were all on the floor for over 2 hours on their Live singing and did not even feel the need for a DJ. They were amazing. Kept the party moving when there was a slow part. Their choice of music was perfect. I didn't give a playlist because I wasn't very familiar with Punjabi music. But their selection was absolutely fantastic. They set me up with Bhangra dancers and a DHOL player. Coordinated with all of them for timing and music selection. It was absolutely fantastic. Met this husband and wife duo at a friends 50th Birthday party. Wife being a Doctor and Husband being a Senior Director, on weekends, you can see them following their passion. And this is precisely what makes them different from others. I was quite impressed the way they handled and managed the entire event. What I specifically liked was, unlike other DJs where they play the songs, Vinay and Aparna sang those songs... and that too non-stop, without looking at the lyrics. Our venue had limited space for the guests to dance and the music to play, but Sorab and his crew not only made it work but made it so much fun. We had a substantial number of guests who had never been to a baraat before but they caught the energy from Shirose, and we lost count of the number of people who told us afterwards how great a time they had. They provided audio equipment and music services for the Hindu wedding ceremony as well, and they did an equally phenomenal job. Friends giving and a mehfil that will be truly remembered due the efforts of Vinay and Aparna from Mehete Sur. He handled the entire event with ease and the crowd loved him. He had all the kids on the floor , conducted games for us and finally all adults also had a great time on the dance floor. We hired DJ Vinay for my wife’s baby shower, and he was outstanding! His MC skills and anchoring kept the party buzzing with energy. Vinay nailed the music, mixing tracks that got everyone dancing, and the guests raved about his fun game anchoring, too. His vibe and song choices made the day unforgettable. Professional and on time, we’d totally recommend DJ Vinay from Mehekte Sur for any event!

We had a wonderful 70th Birthday party thanks to Mehekte Sur. Vinay did a great job hosting and singing some of the most popular melodies for the event.

Vinay was awesome. We booked him pretty last minute and were a little worried, but he jumped in right away, helped us build the agenda, and even suggested a grand entrance that set the tone. Throughout the night he kept us on track without it ever feeling rushed, read the room perfectly, and kept everyone engaged with fun games like “Advice for the Couple” Our guests had a great time and so did we. Highly recommend.

The music and the dancing were easily the HIGHLIGHT of my wedding day. Planning a wedding during a pandemic can be quite disconcerting. I wasn’t sure if guests would feel comfortable dancing or if there would be looming fears amongst the crowd. Thankfully, the opposite was the case. My guests were thrilled to dance and DJ Kash had the dance floor jumping! Music has this incredible ability to bring people together and connect on the dance floor with passion, positivity, & good vibes. I’m so grateful to Kashif for being so dependable and easy to work with. He was great with communication and kept the party energy high from start to finish!

DJ Kash is awesome! He DJ’ed at my engagement party and was amazing to work with. I loved the energy that he brought to our event and his style added an extra flare that helped bring our party to life. We told him the style of music that we were wanted to be played, and he delivered exactly just that. My guests were all praising him and kept mentioning how friendly he was and how fun it was to chat with him. For almost 2 hours my friends and family laughed and danced to the music he played. I was so thrilled to have found DJ Kash to help make our Sangeet a memorable experience for everyone! I found him through instagram, as one of the premier South Asian DJ's in the triangle area, and after listening to his sets, I knew he would be the perfect fit for our event. We reached out, and within a few weeks, we had a signed contract, he had added at my request, a Dholi and I felt that he would deliver even though we'd booked him over a year in advance. Kashif is professional, fun, and can read a crowd and vibe incredibly well. He blended western music with Bollywood hits and for our Sangeet he played a live, mixed set which was DOPE. Everyone loved the music and would not get off the dance floor. Additionally, he was incredibly flexible- I had literally no direction for him (mostly because I trusted him) and he was able to accommodate last minute requests without complaints. And thank you Kashif, for encouraging me to keep the Dholi, because between the two of you, the event was more memorable than I could have imagined. Kashif made the space beautiful with his uplighting, which was a welcome addition to his standard cost, and set up and tore down with no issue in a very busy downtown Raleigh venue. I would 100% use him again if I ever needed to. The music was phenomenal, bangers all night- and the talent was immense and clear. Thank you so much for making my wedding weekend so memorable!

There were many things we asked for that did not happen at my wedding. My father gave a playlist, and DJ Kash didn't play much of anything from the playlist - just some of the instrumentals. The list did include some dance tracks that he played but not many. He also didn't play the instrumental version of our entrance song and played it really late, we were already halfway into the entrance by the time it started playing. Furthermore, he welcomed everybody before my parents did, which upset them alot. Also, my dad asked not to have silences and to play low level background music at all times which also didn’t happen. He also only played a few of my husbands songs from his playlist. The songs he did choose were often inappropriate for my audience , with expletives. Low by Flo Rida was an example of this. For these reasons my husband and father were actively upset with the music during the reception. In addition, he was very slow to respond and didn't call my father back at all for example. He also charged 50$ per each remix of one piece of music and needed all the points where to mix the songs, so we made the mixes ourselves. I did try to relay this privately but got no response until this review. He did respond and apologize for the items mentioned, therefore I’ll update to 3 stars.

DJ Kashif made our daughter’s graduation ceremony a memorable party. It’s a late post happened last summer but still people talk about it. The music the light and the ambiance DJ K created was amazing. People danced their heart out, music was for every age. I will highly recommend DJ k for your next event.

Our wedding was Fusion – Indian/American, and Kash did a great job getting everyone out on the dance floor. Kash was professional, communicative, and kind from the day we first reached out, the weeks leading up to the event, the event itself, and even the days following. He executed our detailed timeline very well. We would recommend Kash for future events, especially Indian/American ones.

Krunal is the best Desi DJ with mix of western, bollywood and South Indian music. Would definitely recommend him for all your party occasions. My son's birthday party was a blast and we all enjoyed his music.

Amazing experience with this amazing duo. The live singing throughout the evening was delightful and the guests loved the opportunity to dance with live music. The emcee coordination of this special 75th birthday surprise was splendid. Highly recommend this wonderful singing team for a private event!

We hired Aparna and Vinay for my hubby’s 40th B’day celebration. They truly made it a memorable event for us. Their selection of songs was perfect for the occasion and our age group.
