It has taken me a day or two to write this review as I was busy tending to my feet. Tending? - you may ask. Well that is what happens when Matt is your DJ and the dance party starts in the evening and goes way past midnight because no one wants to miss a beat ?? Thanks Matt for keeping the party rolling and making our special couple celebrating their silver jubilee, dance to your carefully selected peppy numbers. You went above and beyond and turned the DJ service to karaoke without skipping a beat. Trust me you will be getting a lot of calls for your excellent service for quiet a number of milestone celebrations coming up in our group of friends. Once again thank you for everything you did to make our party a major success. ??

Desi Beatzs DJ and his entire team really made this such a fun and vibrant wedding experience for us. The energy was on point and all the guests thoroughly enjoyed the overall vibes. Initially, I was worried about hiring a DJ, because some of the ones I've experienced at other friends' Indian weddings were a bit cheesy. However, Kabir DJ'ed at my wedding reception on 6/2/24 and he was great! We had also used his services at my brother's wedding reception in 2022. He's a clear communicator and works hard to understand his clients' expectations and desires for the event. He did everything we asked from him and more, and he made it an excellent evening! Thank you, Kabir ??

?DJ Kabir is absolutely phenomenal. We approached him based on reviews and his Instagram page. And after that it was a seamless process. He was wonderful to work with and personalized the playlist to include some of our favorites. He also attended the venue walkthroughs with us to help us plan the layout and also help us think through elements unrelated to audio. We danced for 3 straight hours and so did our guests ?across ages 3 to 80. Ankur, the dholi, brought in amazing energy and was a unique element to our reception. The lighting was great. ?The ?photo ?booth was very well done. The props were fun and there was something for everyone. We got the photos very soon after the event, and they are a great addition to the photos from our photographer.? Having Kabir and Ankur made all the difference to our celebrations. It's an enthusiastic yes from us!

Vinay recently hosted my daughter’s 5th birthday party and we all had a blast. He is a really good dj and anchor. He took great care to get to know us and curated the event as per my preference and played my daughter’s favorite songs. My 5 yr old enjoyed a full 4 hr event and dint get tired all thanks to him. He handled the entire event with ease and the crowd loved him. He had all the kids on the floor , conducted games for us and finally all adults also had a great time on the dance floor. It’s tricky to handle a kids party and entertain kids and adults alike. Can’t recommend him enough. ??

Jeetu was amazing! We had an interracial wedding with a Hindu ceremony in Asheville, NC and he assisted with a wide range of tasks over the course of several hours. He first assisted with tying our safas (headgear) for several men in advance of the wedding ceremony. He then played the dhol (indian musical instrument) for our baraat (indian wedding processional with dancing) prior to our ceremony. Finally, he played the tablas (indian musical instrument) during our cocktail hour set list and even did an impromptu collaboration with violin/cello instrumentalists for 2 more Hindi songs. We could not be happier with his performance and broad musical range!

Di- Parth and MC- Ajay were a great team to work with for our Diwali event. In addition to Bollywood music, Parth played really great Garba songs that held up the party together. His Bollywood songs+mixing was really good and everyone had fun dancing to the beats. Ajay-MC was very accommodating to our needs with games. He kept the crowed engaged and involved with the games and other different activities. Very friendly and easy to work with. Definitely give these young boys and chance!

Our experience with Bolybeatz team was excellent. They were very organized when it came to setting things up or helping out in anyway with the acoustics lighting at the venue. They were also great emcee, kept energy flowing and guests wanting to dance more . Great team highly recommend

I am an Indian bride and I worked with Desi Beatz Entertainment for our 3 Indian wedding events hosted in downtown DC. Along with Kabir as our lead DJ for all of our events, Desi Beatz also provided audio, uplighting, emceee and dhol services, and our photobooth. We decided to work with Desi Beatz early on in our planning process, and from the beginning, Kabir went above and beyond to support us. In addition to his own scope, Kabir also sent us recommendations for other wedding vendors; we ended up hiring another vendor based off his glowing recommendation and that vendor was fabulous as well. We couldn’t have asked for more from our experience working with Kabir. He patiently answered our questions about audio and lighting needs at our complex venues, attended multiple venue tours with us as we refined the event details, sent us sample music mixes for us to get a better sense of his DJ style, and cut our dance medley music tracks for us to use at our events. Kabir and his team executed flawlessly at all of our events. They were extremely professional and consistently anticipated the needs of our guests to keep our events lively and our dance floors full. During our reception, we were surprised with a live tabla player and foam glow sticks, courtesy of Desi Beatz. After the weekend, Kabir shared footage and compiled videos that highlighting our events. I would highly recommend Desi Beatz Entertainment for your event needs. Kabir is the man! From the beginning, his communication was always perfect, responding in a timely manner. Very detailed and organized setup. His mixes were on point and kept max energy on the dance floor. This guy knows exactly what he’s doing. 100% recommend him for any event in the future.

Kabir is an absolutely fantastic DJ. He was very communicative throughout the process leading up to our event, and diligently followed up many times even when we forgot to do many of our own items due to being so busy and preoccupied with other vendors. Music was amazing. He helped splicing and mixing our first dance song to the exact way we wanted. Every transitions were on time and on cue. He worked exactly perfect to the timeline and the plan that we build. He also enthusiastically incorporated some of our very niche club music that no one knows about, and pulled it off exceptionally. Once the dance floor opened, the energy never dipped. Seamless song transitions, perfect timing, and the kind of music selection that had every age group on the floor at the same time. He read the room flawlessly and adjusted the vibe like a pro. No awkward gaps, no dead air, no cheesy nonsense. Just straight heat all night. Many of our guests told us that they kept delaying their departure and returning to the dance floor because we kept getting such good songs. Professional, punctual, clean setup, good quality sound sound. His MC also handled every announcement smoothly without hijacking the spotlight, and did a great job building up hype, energy, and directing the flow of the event. We would hire again without thinking twice. What a great DJ MC team.

Whatever I say is not enough for how accomadating and proffessional Kabir is. From the first call, he was super friendly, responsive and willing to help make the event the way we want it. I think we had a pretty complex evening with need for live streaming, some pre recorded speeches and need for projector, but he made it seem all natural and simple. Wow, wow, wow, and one more time for the people in the back: WOW!!! DJ Kabir was everything and more we could have hoped for (and I was a wedding DJ for a spell so the expectations were high). We had a DIY reception-only affair (courthouse wedding last year), so we were looking for the music to not just be a mood setter, but capture bits of ourselves and our families. We wanted a little bit of all the good stuff, so much so it was almost hard to nail down a playlist. What would work, what won’t? Whats too niche or too new or to old gahhh!! We danced for 3 straight hours and so did our guests ?across ages 3 to 80. Ankur, the dholi, brought in amazing energy and was a unique element to our reception. The lighting was great. ?The ?photo ?booth was very well done. The props were fun and there was something for everyone. We got the photos very soon after the event, and they are a great addition to the photos from our photographer.? Having Kabir and Ankur made all the difference to our celebrations. BEST DJ EVER for my Pakistani - Italian fusion wedding!! DJ Kabir is so friendly, cool and easy to work with. He made mixes for us from bollywood and western songs (not easy) for our dances and seamlessly played and blended a variety of songs at our wedding. There was not a dull moment on the dance floor. Hands down the best DJ/host we’ve had at any event! The baby shower games were so creative—photo trivia, green light red light, baby charades—each one was a total crowd-pleaser and nothing like the usual stuff. Range of Songs, compering, crowd engagement is par excellence and their on-stage chemistry for romantic songs is something to be experienced in person !!!

I don’t know where to even start on how magnificent of a singer, entertainer and person she and her husband are. I hired them to sing at my Dad’s 70th birthday party. It was truly a magical day because of them. They are more than just singers. They were like family. They interacted with everyone, played some fun games and their singing was out of this world, great! Extremely professional and their attention to detail was great. They played all my dad’s favorite songs and everyone was so happy. 2 weeks later, I’m still getting calls from my family thanking me and singing their praises. Aparna and Vinay performed at our daughter's Roka ceremony. One of the unique things was, since our son-in-law to be is Malyalli, we requested a malyalli song, and the two did an outstanding job! I hired this amazing duo for my husband’s 50th birthday. Right from the get go, I knew that they were the right fit for what I wanted and they did not disappoint. Aparna and Vinay, both singers of this group are fantastic. We had their musical program in last weekend. About 175 people attended it and everybody loved their singing. Their selection of songs was very nice too. Even though all our members are seniors, they became young and were dancing with full energy with the songs and the music. I will love to hear this kind of talent again and again.

As a musician, I have worked with several performers but this duo is electrifying. Their energy, personalities and talent just makes them stand head and shoulders above the others. Vinay’s anchoring skills just completes their offering and makes it super value for money. They are passionate and their attention to every detail is just commendable.

The Mehekte Sur Jodi was amazing. We had them for our mehndi event and they did a fantastic job keeping the guests on the dance floor the whole time. They are great singers and their song selection was fabulous for both younger and older generation. They also played some great games which kept the guests well engaged. Highly recommend them for any family event!

Friends giving and a mehfil that will be truly remembered due the efforts of Vinay and Aparna from Mehete Sur. They had a unique way to become one of us (mind you we are middle school friends in our fifties) getting us all involved and even getting people with two left feet dance away. They both have great voices and more so the warmth and love they sing with. The range of songs from 1950 to 2022 they covered favourites and they truly became the jaan of our get together. Attended a 75th birthday part for a doctor friend and Mehekte Sur was the entertainer. We were all on the floor for over 2 hours on their Live singing and did not even feel the need for a DJ. The best thing was that they were on the flooor dancing with us. I have never seen anything like this before.

We had this lovely couple perform at my sisters pre wedding ceremony a year ago and loved their live singing so much we called them back for the baby shower event. Aparna and Vinay’s vocals go very well together.

Vinay and Aparna are electric! They performed at my Uncle'e Sangeet in Edison and absolutely killed it. My family doesn't normally dance but Vinay managed to bring all of my Uncles and cousins out of their seats and onto the dance floor!!!
