Dr. Daya Gupta M.C., M.S., D.O., F.R.C.S., F.A.C.S., D.A.B.O Dr. Gupta is well known as a leader in the community, a champion of eye health and a philanthropist. He is the Chief Eye Surgeon at Gupta Eye Centre in Winnipeg and also the Medical Director for Ultra vision Eye Laser Centre. He is renowned as one of the top cataract surgeons in the area, performing over 45,000 successful cataract surgeries. He also pioneered the outpatient small incision cataract surgery. Dr. Gupta was one of the first to open a Refractive Eye Surgery Clinic in Manitoba and has been awarded numerous prestige awards, including the iCare Award, Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee, & Physician of the Year Award in 2011. He also has been honored by various organizations, including CNIB, ICCHA, Hindu Society of Manitoba, Vedanta Society of Winnipeg, Manitoba Association of Asian Physicians, and more.
