Namaste! I'm Ash, the founder of Hello-Hindi. Since moving from Mumbai to New York City in 2002 to study finance at Columbia University, life has taken me on a fascinating journey—one that led me to become a passionate Hindi teacher. What began as a way to support myself during college evolved into a mission: to make learning Hindi simple, fun, and accessible. In 2009, I met my wife, Yuri, a native of Japan and a serious Hindi learner. Her sharp questions challenged my understanding and forced me to refine my teaching methods. That’s when I discovered an intuitive way to learn: by jumping straight into speaking—incorrectly at first—and letting your ears and instincts guide you toward fluency. Today, Hello-Hindi students around the world are confidently speaking Hindi, forming connections, and embracing Indian culture. Whether you're a beginner or a language lover, I’m here to guide you with care and commitment. If you ever feel stuck, just reach out—I’ll personally help you fall in love with Hindi.
