About Kalyanni

Ever since I was a little girl, I've been enthralled with moving my body to a rhythm- freely and without restraint. Trained in Bharatnatyam, the oldest classical dance form of India, I developed the grammar to give form to my creativity. I enhanced my creative articulation by additional training in other classical forms and contemporary movements. I coupled my passion for dancing and choreography, with the need to give back to society and founded my not for profit dance group Kalyanni and attracted equally committed and passionate fellow dancers to join. We strive to create the best performing arts experience we can for the audience to connect to the cause we are serving. When we succeed, our flights of fancy come alive in people's hearts and minds through our performances.
