We were about weeks into a home purchase, working with a national mortgage company that had pre-approved us on a specific set of terms. As the deadline approached, it became clear they weren't going to deliver — our contingencies were about to expire, and we were on the verge of losing either our deposit or the property. Neither of which were acceptable to us. A friend recommended we try Sanjeev Verma as our mortgage broker. This not normal that late into a purchase cycle and at that point I'd basically given up hope. Sanjeev got on the phone and asked for the documentation we'd already compiled, reviewed it, and within 24 hours came back with a high-confidence commitment to do the loan on the exact terms we'd originally agreed to.
