Homeopathy is a holistic system of medicine, which is based on the principles “LIKE CURES LIKE”. It is a system of alternative medicine founded by a German doctor Samuel Hahnemann in the year 1796. It is based on a doctrine like cures like, in which a substance which causes the symptoms of a disease in healthy people will cure similar symptoms in a sick people. The word ‘Homeos’ means “like or similar”, and pathos means “suffering”; so homeopathy is a ‘Medicine of likes’.
