About Queensboro Hill Community Church

With direct roots dating back to 1657, the people of this area predated the First Amendment of the Constitution by nearly 150 years - and insisted on celebrating religious tolerance in the New Netherland. The citizens of Vlishing signed a remarkably eloquent document for its time now called the Flushing Remonstrance. Our own church had its humble beginnings in 1928, first at Pastor Ralph Anderson’s home, and then soon after at a storefront. The present sanctuary was built in 1930. It was the last - until the 1980’s - of the Dutch Reformed churches to be built in the greater New York area.
