Dr Arjun Patel, The long road to becoming an orthodontist started with Dr. Patel accepting a full scholarship to the University of Georgia, where he became a die-hard Bulldog fan. After receiving a bachelor’s degree in microbiology with highest honors, he attended the Medical College of Georgia College of Dental Medicine to start his path to becoming an orthodontist. He received his Doctorate in Dental Medicine, also with highest honors, while also receiving multiple recognitions for his academic excellence and dental skills. To become an orthodontic specialist, Dr. Patel continued his education at the College of Dental Medicine to receive his certification in orthodontics. While most orthodontics finish there, Dr. Patel wanted to build his skills as a board-certified orthodontist. This required extensive testing along with the presentation of high-quality finished cases. Only 33% of orthodontists are board-certified, and Dr. Patel is proud to be one of them.
