Sri Mukambika Mahadeva Hindu Shrine was established on May 16th, 2010 in Eugene in a Yurt. Sri Mukambika came to Eugene with Swaminiji Svatmavidyanandaji on October 15th, 2007 during Navarathri and was residing in a house temporarily. Faith and Terry kindly offered their backyard for housing the shrine. Several devotees from Eugene and Corvallis contributed their time and resources to install the Yurt, build the altars and put in some extra-ordinary hard work to complete the Shrine by May 15th to perform the Prana Pratisthapana of the deities on May 16th, 2010. Since May 2010, the shrine has been a wonderful place of daily worship and a place for celebrating many Hindu festivals for the local communities from Eugene, Corvallis and surrounding areas. The presiding deity in the shrine is Mukambika Devi with her consort Mahadeva with his ever-present Nandi and the remover of obstacles Vidya Ganapathi.
