The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and the American Academy of Pediatrics recommend that children see a pediatric dentist by one year of age. Dr. Wahab is a board-certified orthodontist, also known as a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics. Becoming board certified signifies the orthodontist’s pursuit of continued proficiency and excellence in orthodontics. Dr. Wahab is an active member of the American Board of Orthodontics, the American Association of Orthodontics, the Northern Virginia Orthodontic Study Club, and the Southern Association of Orthodontics. She is Invisilign certified and has received extensive training in treating crowding, cross-bites, skeletal jaw discrepancies, and other orthodontic malocclusions. Dr. Sharif has passed the rigorous board certification process and is a diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. She is also a member of the American Orthodontic Society which is the largest educational association in the world serving general and pediatric dentists who practice Orthodontics. Dr. Sharif was awarded the diplomate status by the AOS in 2012 - the highest credentialing available from the organization.
