About Shri Siddhivinayak Temple USA

The Siddhivinayak Temple is dedicated to Lord Ganesh in His incarnation as Siddhivinayak. The temple evolved from a strong desire from the residents of Toms River, NJ whose nearest temple was 40 miles to the north and 50 miles to the south. The idea of the Siddhivinayak Temple USA was spawned in February 2012. A small group of local Toms River, NJ residents helped coalesce the community's desire for a temple into a concrete proposal. Support from local physicians and business leaders of Indian heritage poured in. By November of 2012 the team was able to collect enough funds to purchase a 6 acre easily accessible plot of land in the heart of the community. Phase 1 consisted of demolition of dilapidated housing on the site and filling in of an abandoned pool and renovate the existing facility into a 3300 sq ft temple and community center, along with a parking lot. Phase 2 was to continue to raise funds for a future, bigger and more professionally constructed temple on the remaining grounds. Lot of preparatory regulatory work for phase 2 was completed in phase 1 to avoid retroactively facing regulatory bottleneck. For more details kindly contact us.
