About SpineCare Long Island

SpineCare Long Island is a multi-disciplinary spine center that combines the expertise of board-certified neurosurgeons and interventional pain management specialists. The spine center helps those with back pain and neck pain explore non-surgical treatment options. If spine surgery is necessary, because of a herniated disc or spinal fracture, the spine surgeons emphasize minimally invasive spine techniques and instrumentation that greatly reduces the length of the incision, lessens time in the hospital and provides a faster recovery with less discomfort. SpineCare Long Island was founded in 2017 by Dr. Kevin Mullins, Dr. Salvatore Zavarella and Dr. Amit Sharma who believed spine care could be improved with a spine center approach that combined the expertise of non-surgical MDs and spine surgeons who would collaborate for the benefit of the person with back or neck pain. The spine center has affiliate spine therapists that work closely with the physicians to provide customized home exercise programs that make the back and neck stronger, more flexible and resistant to future strain.
