About Sri Sri Radha Govinda Mandir

The International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) is a branch of the monotheistic Gaudiya Vaishnava tradition within Hinduism dating back 5000 years to Lord Krishna Himself. Sri Sri Radha Govinda are uniquely special Deities with a rich history, with whom the devotees have fallen more and more deeply in love with, with each passing year. Their beautiful Lordships were given to Srila Prabhupada by the Maharani of Jaipur, Gayatri Devi, and after worshiping them he directed the deities to be sent to New York to be worshiped by the devotees here. Since February of 1972 many countless thousands of devotees have worshiped the sacred deities over the last 40 years.
