About St. Thomas Syro-Malabar Catholic Church

The Syro-Malabar Church was known as the Church of the St.Thomas Christians until the 18th century because it was founded by St Thomas, one of the apostles of Jesus Christ. St.Thomas came to India in 52 A.D. He died as a Martyr in a place called Mylapore near the present town of Chennai (Madras). His tomb is still venerated there. The San Francisco Mission started on February 4th, 2001.

Rated 4.0 This is a very warm friendly Ethnic Church comprising of Indian Christians who migrated to the US from Kerala, India. The liturgy & service is in Malayalam, the language of the Kerala Ethnically Diverse & Vibrant Community of Bay Area Residents.
