A private yoga therapy session can be just one session, a series of sessions or on-going sessions depending on the needs of the client. The first session includes an assessment as well as recommended beginning practices. A client will complete a Client Information Form and submit this to the therapist prior to the session or bring it with them to the session. The client and therapist discuss the information on the form. A yoga therapist does not diagnose health issues. Based on the information on the form and the discussion, the therapist chooses a series of movements, breathing practices and relaxation and/or meditation techniques for the client.

Yoga therapy uses the tools and techniques of yoga (movement, breathing practices, deep relaxation and meditation techniques) to focus on an individual’s or small groups needs. Practices are adapted to the client’s particular health issues, schedules and frequency of visits.

Traditional Ayurvedic eye treatment involving bathing the eyes in medicated oil. The oil is retained within a dam made of dough for approximately 15 minutes on each side. This is a specialized Ayurvedic treatment for the eyes and nervous system.

Padabhyanga massage includes hand techniques such as friction, knuckling and effleurage on the feet and the legs to stimulate blood and lymphatic flow. These techniques also assist in the vital flow of prana giving vital energy to the body and mind.

Pindasveda massage uses herbal and/or rice pouches and is mostly combined with the Abhyanga massage to treat those spots where you suffer the problems or pain. Pouches are filled with special warm rice or with herbs. A mix of rice and herbs can be used for specific treatment as the filling is always chosen according to the health status and your needs.
