We bring you a variety of yoga classes-from gentle to dynamic-taught by your favorite HI teachers. We have a range of class lengths, plus downloadable classes you can take with you. Practice with us, and keep checking back as we add new featured classes. A leader in the field of yoga, meditation, spirituality, and holistic health, the Himalayan Institute was founded by Swami Rama of the Himalayas. The mission of the Himalayan Institute is Swami Rama’s mission-to discover and embrace the sacred link-the spirit of human heritage that unites East and West, spirituality and science, and ancient wisdom and modern technology. The Himalayan Institute’s headquarters is located on a beautiful 400-acre campus in the rolling hills of the Pocono Mountains of northeastern Pennsylvania. In the spiritually vibrant atmosphere of the Institute you will meet students and seekers from all walks of life who are participating in programs in hatha yoga, meditation, stress reduction, Ayurveda, nutrition, spirituality, and eastern philosophy. Rated 5.0 An amazing community of people dedicated to yoga, meditation and healthy living. I chose the Himalayan institute because of their deep tradition in yoga. Their dedication to teaching the philosophy of yoga in addition to how it helps you look inward was important to me. I spent 3 weeks there in June/July of 2015. The vegetarian food was incredible, so nourishing and delicious. The guest rooms were in the midst of a full remodel, the new rooms were comfortable and serene. My teachers were knowledgeable and approachable. Highly recommended!

Rated 5.0 I can't say enough good things about HI after living there as a resident for a year 6 years ago. I did my initial yoga teacher training there and am now a full time instructor. Not only is their methodology scientifically sound, it is immensely healing and it just...well...works! Fast-forward a bit. I took my husband and 2-year-old son there for a weekend this past summer. There are not many retreat centers that are so welcoming and delighted with children. It just goes to show, HI is truly for everyone.

Rated 5.0 I'm holding a stress management retreat here next month and wanted to get a better feel for the space. I spent several hours wandering here a few days ago. The property is magnificent, with dark woods and open fields complimenting each other beautifully. The energy inside is welcoming - staff are warm and friendly. I can't wait to spend the weekend to soak it up more fully!

From the warm greeting by the staff to the constant improvements to the rooms and services, you can tell they really listen to feedback and put it in place. The food is pure and hearty, the surrounding landscape is stunning. There is such a willingness to make everyone feel welcome. All you need to do is ask and someone is there to help. Whether you're a student, a teacher in training or a retreat presenter, you'll be in good hands. It's the best place I can imagine to reconnect with yourself in a contemplative environment. Highly recommended.

The surrounding grounds are breathtaking, the food delicious and made with tremendous care and the yoga, education and learning are all top notch. Everyone should get a chance to experience the HI. It is an absolute gem!
