Shweta completed her 300-hour yoga certification with the American Yoga Academy in 2013. She became exposed to yoga and began practicing in New York City when living there after college. Since then, Shweta has been practicing yoga for the past 10+ years and health and wellness has always been an interest and passion of hers. She decided to pursue her certification to help gain knowledge about this ancient practice and incorporate the aspects of mindfulness and presence in her daily life. Shweta graduated from Boston University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a focus in Finance and Accounting. Although she currently still works in a corporate setting, she has hosted numerous wellness events at her office including teaching yoga to her colleagues, organizing nature walks, and guiding meditation classes. Combining her business acumen with her love for yoga, Shweta creates engaging, interactive classes that promote physical awareness, emotional balance, and self-expression. Her teaching style blends a calming energy with patience and understanding, nurturing a supportive environment for both kids and adults. A native of New Jersey, Shweta lives in Summit with her small children (ages 3 and 6) and husband, keeping her active and engaged at all times. Shweta loves to travel and being exposed to different cultures and cuisines. When not guiding young yogis (or traveling), you can find Shweta at a local coffee shop catching up with girlfriends or exploring nearby parks and trails.
