Rated 5.0 The staff is friendly and professional. The lady who took X-rays and cleaned my teeth was very pleasant and professional. The dentist was great and took time to explain the treatment needed to fix my teeth. I had lot of work done and I'm very happy with this practice. I would recommend it to everyone.

Rated 5.0 I have had many bad experiences at the dentist but Dr. Zahir is amazing!! I am terrified of getting fillings done but with her it was not bad at all and pain free - I even had a root canal and had absolutely no pain! Her staff is great, Mrs. Joyce is so pleasant and I love Ashley! I also am so blown away at how flexible they have been in working with my insurance to make sure I get everything done that is covered. I have never been able to go to the dentist and feel relaxed like I do when I walk into Ideal Smiles - Hands down the best dentist I have been to with the best staff !

Rated 5.0 Dr. Z was amazing. My husband has not been able to chew gum in 6 years. It took him 6 years to go to the dentist. He had fear of going to the dentist. But Dr. Z really educated him and made him feel better. She literally helped remove fears. We loved how she took her time to teach him before she worked on him. Her staff was very friendly and the office was very clean. Thank you. We totally recommend this place!!!

Rated 1.0 I chose to go to Ideal Smiles Dentistry because of the reviews online, but I WOULD NOT recommend listening to these fake/solicited reviews. I had just moved to the area and would strongly recommend you look elsewhere for your dentist in VA Beach/Norfolk. I was there for an hour and 30 minutes for my first appointment, at which you typically have x-rays completed and a cleaning – they did the x-rays, the dentist “examined” my teeth, then they said they’d like to schedule me to...

Rated 5.0 I am too embarrassed to say how long it had been since I went to the dentist. The process to go in was so easy and I was so excited that I could fill out paperwork online and that is was basically a paperless office. I'm from Oregon, so I value resource conservation. :) Dr. Shabana was so thorough and I could not believe that she did the full cleaning herself, not using a dental hygienist. She even gave me whitening strips to brighten up my smile after I was done. I definitely recommend Dr. Shabana Zahir. She hand picked a quality team and that is apparent from your first interaction with Danielle at the front desk to Leah the assistant. Everyone is friendly and they make a great team. I highly recommend Ideal Smiles.

Rated 5.0 My granddaughter Aubrey is 3 years old and today was her 2nd visit to the dentist for her cleaning. She has severe "gag" reflux but managed to get her through the appointment. Dr. Z & Ashley did everything to make her feel comfortable and when she finished she gave Dr. Z high five and Ashley took her to the treasure chest to get stuff not only for her but her friend I've been a patient of Dr. Z for a few years & she has helped me in so many ways. She is a delight & very thorough with you at each appointment. I highly recommend you give her a call for your next appointment.

Rated 5.0 This place is AMAZING! I have been scared of the dentist for the longest time and right when I walked in, I felt at home! I had a huge cavity in my front teeth that I would try and cover up myself and it got so bad I just couldn’t avoid it anymore. They didn’t judge me at all but educated me in why it happened and how to prevent it from happening again! My front teeth now look amazing and I’m overwhelmingly happy!

Rated 5.0 This is the best dental practice in Virginia Beach. I’ve been seeing Dr. Zahir for over 3 years. She is very skilled and ethical, and always cautious about recommending any treatment unless you really need it. I’ve had dental issues that have required numerous visits, Dr. Zahir and the staff at Ideal Smiles Dentistry never gave up on me. The staff are very knowledgeable and customer service oriented. I recommended several of my friends and family members to the practice. If you are looking for the best...they are it!

Rated 5.0 When I met Dr Zahir I had severe crowding, and poor oral hygiene. I grew up in a family where braces were not an option, and ugly teeth were genetic. She told me about six month smiles and my life has been changed every since. Her and I met about every two weeks to adjust my braces (six month smiles) and her, her assistant Brit and I became close from seeing each other so often. They are both warm and welcoming people who make you feel comfortable around them. I looked forward to going to the dentist to get my brackets adjusted despite how painful the process can be. I owe my smile to her, because she straightened my teeth but also because her presence brings a smile to my face. I'm a military spouse, and I really do not want to leave the Virginia Beach area because it means Dr Z will no longer be my dentist.

Rated 5.0 I am so glad I found this place! from the moment I stepped foot inside the staff warmly welcomed my son and I. We waited only 10 minutes until we were brought back and our hygienist was amazing, providing all the answers to my questions and was so great with my 6 year old son. Dr Zahir, was knowledgeable, caring & all around great. I couldn’t get over how awesome this dentistry is. The entire office was clean and decorated so beautifully. I can’t wait to refer this amazing dentistry to everyone. Thank you for a great experience!

The first time here, my daughter was NOT wanting to have xrays taken, so Ashley that works there told her that Princess Rapunzel and Princess Jasmine went there too and got their teeth cleaned and x-rays taken. Rated 5.0 I got two fillings done today (there's still work to be done) and surprisingly it was much faster than my last dentist. I only sat in the chair for a couple of hours, but it was a totally relaxing experience. So relaxing in fact, I was falling asleep! These guys are the most polite, professional group of people. They have no problem identifying the problem on the spot and explaining everything in depth for me and my family. I look forward to seeing the transformation for my teeth later down the road. Rated 5.0 I personally trust Ideal Smiles Dentistry with my whole family's Dental Care and never hesitate to give them a visit whenever any problems come up! Dr. Zahir is one of the best in the field and I highly recommend her office to anyone looking for high quality dental care for them and their family! As for all the negativity I see on her page, I am upset as to how anyone could leave such a low rating without an explanation of why! I clearly understand that this is an attack on not only Dr. Zahir, but her office as well. I am a regular here at her office and it is sad to see such cheap tricks. As for her regulars, we are not in the least bit fazed by such cheap tricks, and I hope anyone looking to come to her office isn't either.

Rated 5.0 Dr. Zahir and her staff is wonderful! I have always stressed out about going to the dentist, but she made the experience a lot less stressful. She was so gentle filling my cavities and the needle prick wasn't not near as bad as past injections. They even give you a topical numbing agent before the actual injection and it really eases the pain! I was very impressed as a new patient they got me in the very next day. Also they are open every other Saturday which really helps people that normally can't make appointments due to work hours. If you are having trouble picking a new dentist you will not go wrong going to Dr. Zahir!!!

Rated 5.0 I was in extreme pain and left a voicemail at 2am. While strolling on Google at 8am, in search of more dentist, I got a call from Ideal Smiles saying they could see me at 9am. When I got there the staff was super caring, accommodating, resourceful, and knowledgeable! They have scored a new client! So grateful!

Rated 5.0 Hands down the best dentist office. They all are respectful and understanding. Doc does the best work. I've had two root canals and four fillings and they didn't hurt one bit. She is caring and respectful. The staff always ask about my wife and how she is doing.
