Rated 5.0 We had an excellent experience working with Maya Van Lines on a cross country move. They provided an good balance of value and quality. Their employees were very professional on pickup and did a excellent job wrapping and protecting furniture. After reading many horror stories from other moving companies, it was a relief to work with an honest company. They were understanding in addressing a few minor damage claims. You should be aware that for us, and likely for most moves, they have to hire outsider drivers and unloaders. This does create some uncertainty, but the only quotes we got from companies whose employees cover the entire move were substantially more expensive (ie more than double). Maya Van Lines is a great option to save money while still working with a trustworthy company.

Rated 2.0 We used Maya to move a while back. We just used other movers and the difference between the two was incredible (Maya did an extremely poor job and the other did not). Maybe it wasn't the worst thing, but they arrived early. When you expect someone after 8am and it's before that in the 7 o'clock hour it's strange. I wasn't even dressed yet. They got there so early that our new apartment community hadn't even opened yet for us to get the keys. So we had to wait for that. They hastily brought up our furniture denying and scratching it. They 'tried' to get our couch through the door but were unsuccessful, so they had to pull it up a few stories (the couch can fit through the door we realized that of you take the door off). So in my opinion they were either not that experienced OR they were in a hurry. Boxes with the up arrow on them were placed downward and other very heavy boxes (marked books) were stuck on top of tiny boxes that said fragile. Some of the boxes were collapsing when we finally got back inside from paying them. Besides the scratches and all to our furniture and the box issues, they also did not deliver all of our items out of the truck. Repeated calls did not suffice until I wrote a review on Google. They promptly called us and delivered the items. The items may not have been big items, but one was one I really cared about. The frame it was in was completely ruined and someone attempted to put it together with black electrical tape (luckily the picture inside survived).

Rated 1.0 Rapphael gave an estimate of 1900$.i asked him multiple times to send a person look at the stuff in the storage and give a proper estimate and also sent him a video of the storage he looked at the video and confirmed the quote. and at the time of pick up increased the quote to 2900 and finally agreed to 2600(i had no way but to agree for this as when i complained about the price increase and asked him to leave the stuff in the storage and i will pay for it, he said he will dump them infront of the storage).
