In Dallas, Satya was very responsive in answering questions we had around the process, cost and do’s/don’t. Our shipment was picked up from our home in Dallas and delivered to our home in Pune. The whole process was seamless and the experience was stress free. We were kept updated on a weekly basis for the status of our shipment and the expected date for its arrival in India. When cleared thru customs, Sini from Universal did a great job coordinating the delivery in India. We were provided live tracking of the truck carrying our goods as well as contact info of the driver i case we needed to coordinate the drop off. The driver Ismail and the moving staff were very careful while offloading the shipment. It took approximately 100 days for the shipment to reached Pune after it was picked up in Dallas. Not to mention, the cost of services are explained upfront (no hidden charges) and are fair/reasonable/competitive. They accept online/UPI payments so the payment process is seamless. I used Universal Relocations for shipping 17 boxes from US to Hyderabad. The most positive experience with regards to the prompt communication. The shipping was a little longer than I had hoped for but I can attribute that to the container getting filled up. I was always in the loop with weekly updates and once the boxes reached Chennai they scheduled delivery to Hyderabad. The delivery personnel were friendly and professional.

Ours was a local move within Princeton, NJ. CP (Chandrakant Patel) and his coworkers comprising of Luciano and Albero make an excellent team of movers and ensured that all our stuff was moved safely without any damage to both, our stuff and the properties at both ends. CP came to our place in advance to meticulously checkout our inventory before confirming his quote and availability of date. The charge for moving was reasonable ($800 Flat rate) based on our inventory and tip was paid separately to each of them based on my satisfaction. They didn’t waste a single moment and were extra careful while handling each item including fragile stuff that can easily get damaged due to oversight. However, one thing I’ll certainly recommend to anyone planning for a move with any mover no matter how good. You have to give clear instructions in advance about how you want your things moved (including inventory, packaging, placement, handling etc at both locations) and also be there to guide them where required during the move no matter how professional they are, after all it’s your stuff they’re moving! These folks at Best Movers were very flexible, courteous and kind to move even some additional items that was not noted in the inventory or discussed earlier. They’re disciplined, well mannered and very experienced in their craft. No matter how simple or complex the move, it is stressful till you get settled in the new place, but it’s a kind gesture to tip the movers generously based on one’s experience as it truly involves a lot of strenuous effort that may put the movers in harms way in the long run. we moved things into a storage unit. They were prompt upon arrival, wrapped everything up, complained towards end of day that it was too much stuff, asked for more money to complete job & asked for beer while working. Upon retrieving our items from storage unit, we found multiple broken items and scratched up items. Will definitely not be using them again!

I had some glass kitchenware (with bubble wrap) shipped and they arrived after 3 months of jostling in the box unbroken. Also the boxes themselves were not showing signs of any wear and tear other than some dirt as expected. Cons: Packing and initial delivery to the fedex office with generated labels was on my own. Not a con on the service but it is an inconvenience to deal with for smaller shipments. Altogether it was a very smooth experience with prompt communication and updates on the status of the shipments.

This is the first time I have send 5 boxes from USA to India . First I was very skeptical which shipping company to choose but I am extremely happy I chose Universal Relocations. Before we started on our relocation effort from US, we asked around some of our friends, got some references and followed those agencies for quotes. Until we decided with Universal Relocations (UR), there was no sales pressure which was refreshing. We got multiple estimates from different shippers, but once we decided on UR, they we efficient and everything moved like clock work. In our 40 yrs. of stay in US, we made only 1 move in US but this relocation with UR was as easy as that. One thing I can suggest is that each box should also be labelled with where it is packed from, which will make it easy to unpack. After reaching India, as usual there were multiple delays but I don't think UR can yet control the seas, shipping lines etc.:-) I read other reviews about UR and was a bit scared about receiving all items in one piece. Luckily except for one minor item, everything seems to be in order. Throughout, UR personnel helped me at Dallas and Bangalore during customs clearing, timely return of passport documents. Delivery service at the final destination was timely and very professional.

I shipped my goods from US to Chennai, India. First I would tell the good part. delivery at Chennai was very smooth except for arranging the delivery. Shipment was in good condition except for 2 broken picture frames and a handicraft. Pick up process and handling of the luggage in USA was very bad, fedex picked up and threw the packages into the truck. On top of that the packing were redone and charged me for that.

Universal Relocation works well for small packages delivery from US to India (Carton boxes) based on my experience, I haven't tried for a large shipments through them from US to India. Only issue I had is that they gave a timeline of 60 - 90 days for the door to door delivery from US to India but in reality it took more than 120+ days for the shipment to reach my home. Customer support was very responsive for any queries but they had no control on the timely delivery. I had to follow-up multiple times with them to get delivery status. Finally I received my shipment boxes without any damages after 120+ days. I would have given 4 or more star if the shipment was delivered under 90 days as they quoted during initial enquiry.

I moved my items from US to Hyderabad. The US side of things are better and the staff was helpful to accommodate picking 5 boxes and a TV within a day to their warehouse. It took 3 months to ship the Items from their warehouse to California port for shipping. The Updates were regular over email till items reached my home. After 5 months of wait (May to Oct), items finally arrived with torn boxes. ( I was told its because of Customs check). No items were lost in the process. Overall Good experience. I recommend to use the service if time is not a constraint for delivery and use their box packing for any delicate items. ( My 49 inch TV came perfectly packed in a wooden box with no damage). 3 stars is for the time it took for items to reach my home

Happy - Disappointed/Stressed - HAPPY This is the long review but please make sure you read it as I have given all the pros and cons of the service. How Happy turned into Disappointment I used thier service to get the custom dining table which was 9 ft by 4ft big. The priya from Chennai offcie hleped to get good estimate and with all my questions. It took while for finalizing all the things as the contract which we need to sign before the shiopment hand over was little confusing with lot of unclear clause. Priya helped me to understand take out unneccesary clauses out. The real issue started when the order came to NJ. The contract I had signed was supposed to be for door to door service from Mumbai to Long Island NY. The person from NJ office was kept comaplaining that the order is ver heavy and I need to pay $750 extra to recive the door service. That person said its so heavy they need to hire another service and all. I kept in touch with Priya and she was able to convince the NJ office maanger to ship my stuff. Finally my stuff came up to my doors and see who delivered the stuff UNIVERSAL RELOCATIONS truck. Guys who came to drop the stuff off didnt complain aboout the weight of the shipment or anythings. My guess this manager from NJ office was just trying get extra money from me as they know we dont have any optiuion but pay to get the stuff we got from India. But Priya was so helpful in this whole process. If you are using the service make sure the size and weight of your shipment is inside the contract and you communicate the weight and size in all emails. Thats what saved me $750.

Every item shipped reached me without any issues except couple of glass wares due to minor issues with packing of those items. They were available to answer any questions any time. Overall service was good, I moved from NJ, usa to India. Packaging was good on my 65 inch TV , it arrived without damages. The packaging on glass/porcelain items was not good , they used paper for wrapping these items so some of them broke. They should use bubble wrap for fragile items

I used Universal Relocations to move my stuff from US- NJ to Kerala. I called them many times asking doubts but the staff in NJ were very polite and were so helpful. My stuff were picked up from NJ and was delivered to my place in Kerala. My only concern was that the consignment got delayed by few weeks. Otherwise it was all good and I would use their service again!

The US side of things are better and the staff was extremely helpful to accommodate the moving of 17 boxes within a day's time. The weekly updates were also fine till it came to Chennai. Once it landed in Chennai and till it came to ICD in Bangalore, it was a mess! The local Bangalore staff however were good again. Apart from incomplete info and missing updates for the last three weeks before the inspection, everything was good.

Delivery was done without damage and the handling was good. NO ISSUE WITH SHIPPING QUALITY. But would have given all stars if the transition time would have been done in lesser time.. expected time was 3 months but ended up getting it around 5 months and had to do multiple followup from my end..

Just wanted to share my experience with Universal Relocations if ur moving boxes from US to India. They charge around 100-120 per box of 50lb. More the boxes the per box value would be less.But you have to pay 1000 INR per box in India for port transfer and storing the boxes.This is not included and will not be informed when you request for a quote. It will take 60 to 120 days for ur parcel to reach.. Only send if u are really keen on using all those stuff..

BEFORE THE BOOKING: Good amount of information was provided to me which helped in packaging properly myself. AFTER SALES: Proper tracking is not available and it seemed like they forgot my package in one of the hubs while transferring. I had to follow up then they picked my package and then continuous follow up but proper online tracking is not available. TIME taken from USA to India: 4 months. ADDITIONAL CHARGES: I was informed at the time of sale that the quote was final but I was charged unloading charges and inspection charges from port which amounted to about 50 usd for 4 boxes. FINAL RECEIPT: Although the packaging was not very sturdy (cartons only) but still the items inside were intact. the items included crockery, sunglasses, glass frames etc.

Although the customs department did some minor damage to my stuff but that is outside the scope of Universal Relocations. I would recommend Universal Relocations for moving stuff internationally.

I wanted to move from the US to India (Chennai). It took about 80 to 90 days to arrive at the Port in Chennai. Few days later, I was asked to submit few documents for port unloading and inspection process. 1 week later I was asked to come to a location near port and someone drove me to the container house where I waited for more than an hour for arrival of the officer, which is fine. To my surprise, the items I packed was super handled and not even a single damage to my boxes. The thing is, I packed all the boxes my self. The booking rep Venkat told me to buy 'heavy duty' boxes which is the best option to safe your items. He also gave me a good deal. I'd like to thank Jyotsnaa also whom I was in touch in the beginning for quotations and provided me a lot of options. Overall, the service is good. They charged me a little bit for port and detention charges which they could have discounted, but that's fine. I'm happy as my items arrived safely. Thanks team!

It was a pleasant experience in terms reliability, ease, communication etc. Everything was picked up from door and was delivered at the door at destination without any issues. The only reason why I am giving 4 star instead of 5 is one of the box was open when we received. It was probably opened by customs but expected Universal to reinforce the packaging post customs verification. It is important to note that all items were intact.

I moved from US to India recently and have heard about Universal Relocations from my colleagues. The experience was great. The pickup was a little troublesome, but the delivery was flawless. Thanks to Huzaina for the seamless co-ordination. I would've rated 5 stars but the 1 star is missing just for the delay of the shipment. It was estimated to me as 3 months and it took almost 4+ months for the shipment to arrive. Even though all the payments and responses were made in time from my end.

I used Universal relocation to move my boxes from Miami to Pune. Based on my experience below are pro's and Cons's Pro's 1. very professional and the staff is very good. they explain you in detail. My sales person Pallavi was very good. 2. I received all my boxes in as is condition without any breakage and not a single item was missing 3. received my box in exact 3.5 months as mentioned by UR. 4. They send you weekly updates and keep you on updated on each and every step. Con's 1. They charged me extra 7000Rs for 6 boxes as Port handling and Sensitization fees. i assume this might be some money they might have to pay at port to clear boxes or it my be genuine fees, but UR must tell upfront about this fee also they can include it as part of payment rather than asking for extra in India. Overall very good experience and would recommend.

I shipped total 7 boxes and TV from US to INDIA.The service was pretty good.The rates quoted were competitive. The team is very responsive and provided updates regularly. My packages reached Bangalore from Chennai after Customs clearance, but the Bangalore team was not so responsive in delivering my package. The final delivery was through Fedex (although I had a different issue with them, where they missed one of my box, and finally received after many follow-ups) . Other than that, It took approximately 3 months to receive my package with minor damages to my Kitchenware . Rating 4 stars because of delay and inconvenience caused by Bangalore Staff. Overall I am satisfied and I'd positively recommend Universal Relocations for shipping services from US to India.

My experience with Universal relocation was very good, , i relocated by Stufs from US To INDIA, starting from Quote to Delivery, there was an very good fallow-up , before confirming my shipping i had called several time Venkatesh and asked about multiple options, he use to provided quote for all my options and once it was ready to pickup from my door the labeling, insurance, everting was easy and after pickingup from door till shipping to India till Door, it was, there was some light damage of one of my goods, which they told was due to customs... but still i i was fine

Universal relocations helped me move things from US to Chennai. All the boxes reached safely and came as they were packed in the origin. The only drawback is it took close to 4 months even though they said it will take only 3 months

I was expecting damages to my boxes or shipments after delivered it was same as I packed in US.

They Shipped my House hold things from USA to India, it taken 90 as promised, the Pickup and shipment tracking communication was good but last 2 weeks they left me ideal on letting me to know the delivery date, but at 90 day they delivered with good condition.

Opted this service while I travel from USA to Hyderabad. FIrst i want to share my feedback on the pre sale team who are very supportive and helpful. They guided me very well and suggested what item I should keep and all other things. Sending process is also went smooth. I got my packages a little late (15 days) but i think thats oblivious as some Port constraints are there. Overall I am pleased with the services.
