My name is Becky Hilbich and I am the Major Donor Development Officer for Effect Hope, the Leprosy Mission Canada. Effect Hope is a Canadian global health organization that partners with others to bring hope and restoration to people affected by leprosy and other skin diseases. These diseases cause illness and disabilities, perpetuate poverty, invite discrimination, and eliminate hope. Much of our work is in India improving the physical, social and mental wellbeing of people made vulnerable by leprosy. Deb Hopper who is the Director of Development and myself will be in your area from May 28th - XXst. We would love to visit and speak with you about what we are doing in India. I think you would find it very interesting to know about the medical advances being done to help those who cannot help themselves with this disease.
