About Three Rivers Ayurveda

Dr. Aparna Dandekar is a board-certified family physician trained in three sciences–Western (Allopathic) Medicine, Osteopathy, and Ayurveda. Three Rivers Ayurveda is a one-woman practice that brings the philosophies of these three sciences to the comfort, convenience, and privacy of your own home through the tradition of the house call. Currently, I see patients within the San Francisco Bay Area. The philosophy that I adhere to is simple: nature knows best. My inherent faith in nature’s self-regulating wisdom is further strengthened by my osteopathic and ayurvedic training. Simultaneously, my experience as an allopathic physician has given me the utmost respect for modern science. I believe that balanced health can be better achieved by aligning ourselves with the guidelines handed down from ages past while availing ourselves to the benefits of today’s technological advancements. My goals are to demystify Ayurveda and present it as it has existed through the ages: an intuitive, practical, no-nonsense way to find balance. I look forward to working with you to create positive and lasting changes in your health, using techniques that are easily incorporated into your daily life.
