My sister and I hosted my brothers 50th birthday party in our back yard and Desi Beatzs was our DJ. He was the absolutely best! Awesome music, awesome equipments and just a fun guy! Thanks Matt for keeping the party rolling and making our special couple celebrating their silver jubilee, dance to your carefully selected peppy numbers. You went above and beyond and turned the DJ service to karaoke without skipping a beat. Trust me you will be getting a lot of calls for your excellent service for quiet a number of milestone celebrations coming up in our group of friends. However, Kabir DJ'ed at my wedding reception on 6/2/24 and he was great! We had also used his services at my brother's wedding reception in 2022. He's a clear communicator and works hard to understand his clients' expectations and desires for the event. He did everything we asked from him and more, and he made it an excellent evening! ?DJ Kabir is absolutely phenomenal. We approached him based on reviews and his Instagram page. And after that it was a seamless process. He was wonderful to work with and personalized the playlist to include some of our favorites. He also attended the venue walkthroughs with us to help us plan the layout and also help us think through elements unrelated to audio. We danced for 3 straight hours and so did our guests ?across ages 3 to 80. Ankur, the dholi, brought in amazing energy and was a unique element to our reception. The lighting was great. ?The ?photo ?booth was very well done. The props were fun and there was something for everyone. We got the photos very soon after the event, and they are a great addition to the photos from our photographer.? Having Kabir and Ankur made all the difference to our celebrations. It's an enthusiastic yes from us!

Kabir & Desi Beatz team was absolutely amazing! Kabir was consistently responsive and worked with us to navigate schedule changes, last-minute song selections, surprise performances that even we didn't know about, and much more. Our guests had the bestttt time on the dance floor - going from Bollywood to American pop to garba, the music was always raging and super fun. Kabir is not only an excellent DJ and lighting vendor but also a caring, thoughtful, detail-oriented, and all around good guy. Our MC who was on his team was awesome as well. Team ShiVish Entertainment did a phenomenal job at our wedding in Mexico! DJ Vish, who’s like a brother, brought everyone onto the dance floor and made sure the vibes and beats were always infectious and full of energy! MC Riju did a great job hosting and keeping the audience engaged throughout performances, games and events. Shivish entertainment was amazing at all our wedding events- I’d first heard Shivish when I went to a concert in 2021 and they’d been hired to open, and knew from then that I’d want to work with them at some point. Throughout the entire process Ranjan & Ammanah were so helpful and responsive, very helpful with keeping me on task with uploading music and noting cues (and we’re super flexible with my wedding brain where I felt like I had a million and 1 things to do and kept forgetting to send certain songs). Absolutely loved working with them, and Vish was insanely talented. Overall, could not have asked for a better team that contributed to one of the most magical weeks of my life ??

The lighting was great. ?The ?photo ?booth was very well done. The props were fun and there was something for everyone. I am an Indian bride and I worked with Desi Beatz Entertainment for our 3 Indian wedding events hosted in downtown DC. Along with Kabir as our lead DJ for all of our events, Desi Beatz also provided audio, uplighting, emceee and dhol services, and our photobooth. We decided to work with Desi Beatz early on in our planning process, and from the beginning, Kabir went above and beyond to support us. In addition to his own scope, Kabir also sent us recommendations for other wedding vendors; we ended up hiring another vendor based off his glowing recommendation and that vendor was fabulous as well. We couldn’t have asked for more from our experience working with Kabir. He patiently answered our questions about audio and lighting needs at our complex venues, attended multiple venue tours with us as we refined the event details, sent us sample music mixes for us to get a better sense of his DJ style, and cut our dance medley music tracks for us to use at our events. Kabir and his team executed flawlessly at all of our events. They were extremely professional and consistently anticipated the needs of our guests to keep our events lively and our dance floors full. During our reception, we were surprised with a live tabla player and foam glow sticks, courtesy of Desi Beatz. Kabir is an absolutely fantastic DJ. He was very communicative throughout the process leading up to our event, and diligently followed up many times even when we forgot to do many of our own items due to being so busy and preoccupied with other vendors. Music was amazing. He helped splicing and mixing our first dance song to the exact way we wanted. Every transitions were on time and on cue. He worked exactly perfect to the timeline and the plan that we build. He also enthusiastically incorporated some of our very niche club music that no one knows about, and pulled it off exceptionally. Once the dance floor opened, the energy never dipped. Seamless song transitions, perfect timing, and the kind of music selection that had every age group on the floor at the same time. He read the room flawlessly and adjusted the vibe like a pro. No awkward gaps, no dead air, no cheesy nonsense. Just straight heat all night. Many of our guests told us that they kept delaying their departure and returning to the dance floor because we kept getting such good songs. Professional, punctual, clean setup, good quality sound sound. His MC also handled every announcement smoothly without hijacking the spotlight, and did a great job building up hype, energy, and directing the flow of the event. We had an incredible experience working with DJ DesiBeatz for our fusion Chinese Indian American wedding reception. From the very beginning, the team was so communicative and easy to work with. I worked closely with Kabir throughout the planning process—he answered every question, shared samples of what was possible, and made sure he fully understood the vibe we wanted. They respected our do-not-play list, incorporated our preferred songs, and absolutely nailed the overall mood we envisioned: a perfect blend of Hindi + American millennial (2000s), some 70s/80s classics, fast/hype moments, and just a couple slow songs at the right time. On the day of, the MC was amazing—super communicative with both me and our venue coordinator to ensure everything flowed smoothly and aligned with our timeline. My family, guests, and I were thrilled with the music and services. We received so many compliments on everything, from the DJ and MC, fun photobooth with many props and good quality prints, to the beautiful 72” LED screen that showcased photos of my husband, me, and our families. One of my absolute favorite parts was the dhol player—he brought incredible energy and such a special touch to the night. It truly elevated the celebration. I highly recommend DJ DesiBeatz. They made our reception unforgettable!

Shivish Entertainment provided DJ services, lighting and MC services for our wedding reception on Oct 13th at Milton Ridge. They hadn't (to my knowledge) worked for a wedding at this particularly comparatively small venue and despite some bumps in the road, they were able to master a great setup with high quality sound coverage throughout the room. They also did a great job of reading the room and playing music that they thought the guests on the dancefloor would like, combined with our own personal requests. I've been following them and supporting their business for over 5 years so my expectation was definitely that they would deliver a high quality experience at our wedding reception but they went above and beyond! They even added on extra uplighting to really give the room the right ambiance. MC Riju really drove the energy at the event with his roaring voice and killer dance moves. He carefully followed the highly-detailed script that I just provided on the night before, haha. They're the best of the best and I look forward to working with them again!

We hired Shivish Entertainment for our wedding and let me say, they absolutely blew us away! They truly made this weekend unforgettable and something we will remember forever. Would give an 100/10 if possible! The music and the mixing was all amazing from DJ Vish. From the Sangeet, the Baraat, and to the Reception, all of the music was absolutely incredible and the mixing was spotless. It really set the tone for the entire day and night. The music during the ceremony was on point and we really appreciated that they were able to execute it without much guidance. We got so many compliments about how good the music was for all the events and it made the reception especially fun for everyone. The mixing between Bollywood songs and American music was perfectly executed. We could not have asked for a better weekend of music! We really appreciated that MC Riju was able to bring the energy for the Baraat that early in the morning and it really helped encourage everyone to dance and get hype (hard to do that early in the morning). The reception was also absolutely incredible and we could not have asked for a better hyped night. When we said hyped we did not expect the chair raising hype which was so amazing to see so many people, even aunties and uncles, raising their chairs participating! Riju also helped ensure the smooth transitions with the performances and also helped keep the dance floor dancing! Everyone at Shivish entertainment was an absolute joy to work with and they truely made the process very easy on us. We’d also like to plug a couple of add-ons that really made the night from Shivish that we are highly recommending others get. 1. Instant photobooth- Guests take 4 different pictures and it would automatically print out a photo strip. This was such a hit and our guests were lining up to take pictures the entire night. They also printed out a seperate copy and gave us a photo book of pictures as a keepsake! 2. Starry dance floor- Guest loved the unique aspect of it and it looked absoltuely breaktaking 3. Uplighting- Please get for any wedding, Shivish knocked it out the park with the uplighting and set the mood

We recently hired them to cover a holiday party event for 60 guests. It was not any special occasion so we needed minimal lighting setup and DJ. If you are hiring them make sure DJ Shiv is covering the event, if not then your money spent will not be worth it. The DJ they sent for 1st half of my event completely failed to pick on audience pulse. I had even shared my playlist but he was completely off. Number of my guests asked if I could put my own playlist which you don’t want to hear after hiring professional DJ. BUT second half of the event DJ Shiv came and he was immediately able to change the mood. Everyone gravitated towards the dance floor and they had a ball. So make sure you don’t get their backup DJ and Shiv covers it.

We hired DJ Rahul for one of our events. While he arrived about an hour later than scheduled, once he got started the music selection was great and fit the vibe of our event well. He was friendly, and easy to work with. Overall, a good experience with good music.

I was so thrilled to have found DJ Kash to help make our Sangeet a memorable experience for everyone! I found him through instagram, as one of the premier South Asian DJ's in the triangle area, and after listening to his sets, I knew he would be the perfect fit for our event. We reached out, and within a few weeks, we had a signed contract, he had added at my request, a Dholi and I felt that he would deliver even though we'd booked him over a year in advance. Kashif is professional, fun, and can read a crowd and vibe incredibly well. He blended western music with Bollywood hits and for our Sangeet he played a live, mixed set which was DOPE. Everyone loved the music and would not get off the dance floor. Additionally, he was incredibly flexible- I had literally no direction for him (mostly because I trusted him) and he was able to accommodate last minute requests without complaints. And thank you Kashif, for encouraging me to keep the Dholi, because between the two of you, the event was more memorable than I could have imagined. Kashif made the space beautiful with his uplighting, which was a welcome addition to his standard cost, and set up and tore down with no issue in a very busy downtown Raleigh venue. I would 100% use him again if I ever needed to. The music was phenomenal, bangers all night- and the talent was immense and clear. Thank you so much for making my wedding weekend so memorable!

There were many things we asked for that did not happen at my wedding. My father gave a playlist, and DJ Kash didn't play much of anything from the playlist - just some of the instrumentals. The list did include some dance tracks that he played but not many. He also didn't play the instrumental version of our entrance song and played it really late, we were already halfway into the entrance by the time it started playing. Furthermore, he welcomed everybody before my parents did, which upset them alot. Also, my dad asked not to have silences and to play low level background music at all times which also didn’t happen. He also only played a few of my husbands songs from his playlist. The songs he did choose were often inappropriate for my audience , with expletives. Low by Flo Rida was an example of this. For these reasons my husband and father were actively upset with the music during the reception. In addition, he was very slow to respond and didn't call my father back at all for example. He also charged 50$ per each remix of one piece of music and needed all the points where to mix the songs, so we made the mixes ourselves. I did try to relay this privately but got no response until this review. He did respond and apologize for the items mentioned, therefore I’ll update to 3 stars.

DJ Kashif made our daughter’s graduation ceremony a memorable party. It’s a late post happened last summer but still people talk about it. The music the light and the ambiance DJ K created was amazing. People danced their heart out, music was for every age. I will highly recommend DJ k for your next event.

I was so thrilled to have found DJ Kash to help make our Sangeet a memorable experience for everyone! I found him through instagram, as one of the premier South Asian DJ's in the triangle area, and after listening to his sets, I knew he would be the perfect fit for our event. We reached out, and within a few weeks, we had a signed contract, he had added at my request, a Dholi and I felt that he would deliver even though we'd booked him over a year in advance. Kashif is professional, fun, and can read a crowd and vibe incredibly well. He blended western music with Bollywood hits and for our Sangeet he played a live, mixed set which was DOPE. Everyone loved the music and would not get off the dance floor. Additionally, he was incredibly flexible- I had literally no direction for him (mostly because I trusted him) and he was able to accommodate last minute requests without complaints. And thank you Kashif, for encouraging me to keep the Dholi, because between the two of you, the event was more memorable than I could have imagined. Kashif made the space beautiful with his uplighting, which was a welcome addition to his standard cost, and set up and tore down with no issue in a very busy downtown Raleigh venue. I would 100% use him again if I ever needed to. The music was phenomenal, bangers all night- and the talent was immense and clear. Thank you so much for making my wedding weekend so memorable!

Kashif is an unforgettable DJ and an absolute dream of a DJ to work with. From our initial consultation call, he took the time to understand our past experiences with DJs and was very caring, professional and accommodating in ensuring we have a wonderful event to look forward to. I immediately knew I wanted to book him. Our Pakistani wedding was mixed with amazing mash ups from American Pop, Bollywood / Punjabi hits and traditional Pakistani songs ....just as requested! Our family absolutely enjoyed every bit of the events. Kashif is extremely responsive and patient and will craft the perfect playlist and flow of events for your special day. During the event, he kept the dance floor busy and everyone enjoyed his work. When I had some issues with wedding logistics at my end he quickly adjusted our timelines for a super smooth flow. This was probably the most remarkable thing I noticed about Dj Kash. When i was stressed he helped me keep the crowd busy and told me he would handle everything to ensure everything goes smoothly. And THAT made all the difference, he cared about the event just as much as we did! He truly made our night unforgettable and I cannot emphasize how polite, nice and accommodating he was. He made us feel SO comfortable and confident that we were going to have the best night of our life. and we sure did!
