I ran across Stilt online as one of the lenders providing loans to internationals in the US (non-resident aliens) and start the process at their online loan application portal. Like others, they will offer a loan using only a soft pull on your credit and will do a hard pull on your file only when you accept the offer - something that I was worried about as I do not want a lot of hard checks appearing unnecessarily (another bank had rejected after doing a hard check two years ago :/) They ask questions about your education, work, and consider factors like your 401k balances etc., on top of your credit score (helps if you're new to the US). Got a good rate, in a short amount of time (the whole process from start to finish was under 3-4 business days), with excellent service. Would highly recommend it to others!

A Company can be rated with the approach they have towards customers and the process they follow. This is a company which shall have very few negative feedbacks in the years to follow. They understand the customers requirements and have focussed on making the process simple, effective and not time consuming. My friend referred me to Stilt loans, they have best interest rates when compared to other providers (Lending Club, etc). Stilt also offers short-term period (24 months in my case) to quickly repay, this is one of the reasons for me to choose Stilt so I can skip on huge interests. My loan approval took less than 48hrs & the money was direct deposited to my foreign bank account (this helped me to lessen a step going through WesternUnion or such currency exchanges). Most of the details are applied online & a quick verification call to process the application. It was easy peasy for me & I would definitely recommend it to my friends. Overall experience is pretty good! It only took 3 business day to fund the loan, even though rate is bit high but considering I don’t have green card, it’s still really good. So, If you’re someone like me who under opt don’t have green card or citizenship yet, Stilt is the choice to go!

Highly recommend Stilt to all international students. Being an immigrant myself, I was not able to get student loans for larger amounts and lower rates with other online lenders or banks. Stilt's rates were far cheaper than anyone else in the market and they were very upfront and transparent about paybacks and the overall loan process. My loan with Stilt has been running for 1.5 years and is ending this month and I can confidently say that this has been the best lending experience even when I was in F-1 status and now in H1-B status. I took the Stilt loan while I was in OPT status with limited credit history. But Stilt did an excellent job of offering a rate that was based on various other factors instead of pure credit history. Highly recommend Stilt to international students and immigrants looking for a loan in the US.

Check on Ssn was soft and it's ok if you don't have one. They'll actually help you build it. They were really nice to me about my immigratory situation.
