Shri. Amit Bhagwat established the academy Aavartan with a focus to impart training in the percussion instrument Tabla & spread awareness about Indian classical music. Amit learnt Tabla since age of six and is fortunate to learn from great maestros like Late Pt. Vishnu Aloni, Pt. Shantanu Panshikar, Pt. Gourisankar Karmakar and Pt. Umesh Moghe. He is an accomplished tabla player and has accompanied noted classical vocalists, instrumentalists & Kathak dancers. Over the last decade, Amit has taught numerous students in Houston & Austin area. His experience as a performing artist brings beauty, depth and richness to his teaching.
